If you're the kind of person who loves history, then you need to visit Fulton MO. Fulton was incorporated in 1859 (watch for upcoming news on the big 150th celebration in 2009) and named for Robert Fulton, inventor of the steam boat. Fulton and Callaway County have a strong Civil War heritage and I think some people wish it was still the 1860s. Callaway County became it's own "Kingdom" during the Civil War when a group of Confederate soldiers fooled Union troops into thinking that there was a large Army protecting the area.
