It's been some time since I visited the Cayucos Farmers' Market. Each Friday morning (till noon) from May to September, the huge parking lot by the Cayuos Vets' Hall would be taken over by vendors from all over the county. They would be there to tout their fresh produce - lovely greens, roots, custom dressings, fruits and more fruits and not-to-miss goodies to residents and visitors in Cayucos. The setting was lovely - you could hear the ocean, and look south beyond the pier towards the Morro Rock in Morro Bay. The weather was beautiful too, this morning. Each time when I travel north out of my hometown of Cayucos on Highway One, towards Cambria, I would pass by this sign,
Population: 18 per 2000 Census. That must be the smallest town in our County ~ the San Luis Obispo County, CA. Harmony bears the zip code, "93435" and is situated off Highway One, a few miles south of Highway 46. I told myself that I should visit the town. I heard about the fabulous blown glass and beautiful pottery. Since I have tasted the wine from Harmony Cellars, why not? In April this year, I read (0 comments)
Residents of the Central Coast are invited to a unique Open House on Thursday, February 7, as RE/MAX Seven Cities ushers in the Lunar New Year! As Western culture rings in the New Year every January, Chinese culture similarly celebrates the New Year, albeit a little later in the Winter. Chinese culture celebrates the new year with the coming together of friends and family, all sharing delicious food, and generally with the creating of an atmosphere of happiness and prosperity. It's a fun way for us all to get together with colleagues and customers to welcome 2008, the "Year of the Rat"! In addition to a (0 comments)
San Luis Obispo-Paso Robles made it to the top 10 best places to live again! When compared to more than 400 U.S. metropolitan cities, being 9th is not to be taken lightly, especially when San Luis Obispo-Paso Robles is the only Californian city to reach the top 10. Santa Barbara came in 12th position, while Oxnard/Ventura is placed at 22nd, and Napa at 26th respectively. See the following Top 50 Best Places to Live in 2007, as tabled below.

Basically, it boils down to us, humans versus fish. According to the Tribune today, Alameda County Superior Court Judge Frank Roesch has given the California Department of Water Resources 60 days to comply with environmental laws protecting the fish or stop pumping water from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta into the California Aqueduct. The fish being threatened include chinook salmon and delta smelt. Both are protected by the California Endangered Species Act. A decision should be made in early May, '07. How does this impact the Central Coast? Eleven agencies in San Luis Obispo County receive water from the State. The following two agencies that receive (0 comments)

REVIEW OF SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL SALES - MORRO BAY, CA JANUARY TO MARCH 2007 VS. JANUARY TO MARCH 2006 Presently, real estate activity in Morro Bay continues to be sluggish at best. We were encouraged by the flurry of activity at the beginning of this year. We saw more pending sales. For a short while, prices appeared to be stabilizing. Now as we approach Spring, buying activity seems to have stalled. Let's take a look at the home sales for the first quarter of 2007. Compared to the same period last year, the median home prices showed a decline by about (0 comments)
