Hill Country Living in Helotes ~ Iron Horse Canyon - 04/28/10 09:43 PM
Hill County Living in Helotes ~ Iron Horse Canyon Iron Horse Canyon in Helotes has become my new favorite neighborhood in the San Antonio area. It is a master planned community located 1.5 miles north of Loop 1604 off Bandera Hwy and contains more than 600 acres of beautiful hill country property. Breathtaking views of the San Antonio skyline and the surrounding Hill Country can be seen from the development. Government Canyon Natural Area is nearby.~ Iron Horse Canyon residents live in the city of Helotes in Bexar County but do not pay San Antonio city taxes. Helotes has a

This is true in Texas, too. Hurry! Get your $8,000 before time runs out at midnight on April 30! Via Cindy Jones-Northern Virginia Real Estate & Military Relocation Services (RE/MAX Allegiance #1 RE/MAX Company in the World): The clock is ticking. It can be heard loud and clear throughout Northern Virginia. The tax credit is expiring in four days. However there are those who might consider cheating and signing a contract on May 1st or May 2nd and back dating it to April 30th. Please don’t go there. Though the tax credit is a great opportunity for first time buyers and repeat

Celebrating Earth Day with 101 Quadrillion Colors on Texas (and our Nations) Roads-Thanks to The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center - 04/22/10 02:26 PM
Thanks to Russell Lewis for this post (and especially the photos) about our abundant and breaktakingly beautiful crop of Texas wildflowers this year. I have been wanting to post about this as well but have been too awestruck with the beauty of it all to feel that I could do it justice. Of course, we have the rain to thank for it and I look forward to all the juicy blackberries that will be making their appearance around the first of June. While driving around the area I have spotted so many families taking photos of their chidlren in the bluebonnet fields. If you live

Don't rain on our Fiesta parades... - 04/16/10 04:50 PM
Don't rain on our Fiesta parades: Battle of Flowers Parade, Fiesta Flambeau Parade, Texas Cavaliers River Parade, King William Fair & Parade, Lackland Fiesta Military Parade For the first time anyone can remember, the opening-day kickoff yesterday for San Antonio's annual Fiesta celebration was swamped by rain. It was rescheduled for noon today in Gateway Plaza. Preparation for Fiesta began in November so a lot of people were disappointed about the rain showing up uninvited. The sun is now peeking out and although I haven't seen a weather forecast yet, I have my fingers crossed for the success of our citywide party which will run through April
