Did you catch ABC News with Diane Sawyer this evening? - 09/29/10 10:46 PM
Did you catch ABC News with Diane Sawyer this evening? This evening I was watching ABC News with Diane Sawyer but honestly, I wasn't really paying attention to what was being said. My mind was on the many things I was trying to get accomplished today. Then suddenly a familiar image caught my attention. It was a distinctive red, white, and black sign that I see often on ActiveRain. It was ActiveRainer J. Philip Faranda's sign in front of a home for sale. The seller was being interviewed but I had already missed most of the story. It made me wonder (11 comments)

This is a 10% increase from the average price recorded for the previous year, August 2009. The median price of a home was $159,600 which is a 7% increase from the median home price in August 2009. Although prices were up, sales activity was down, 1,604 homes sold during the month of August, which reflects a 9% decrease from home sales in August 2009. Reading J. Philip Faranda's post this morning was Chicken Soup for the REALTOR® Soul. I recently blogged a members only post about an unpleasant interaction with a local Drama Queen/real estate agent. Why can't everyone be as professional as Liz Pereira... and J. Philip Faranda. I'm a faithful reader of J. Philip's blog and as of today, I'm a subscriber as well.

Pants on the Ground - 09/14/10 12:34 AM
When I was in junior high school... or as it is called now called, middle school ...my friends and I would start laughing so hard at something that struck us as funny (as many things did) that we couldn't stop laughing. We laughed until our sides actually hurt. Those middle school moments don't happen as often these days, maybe because I don't have a lot of silly girlfriends anymore. But last week I had one of those middle school moments. My husband and I have been on Weight Watchers for about 5 months now and have both lost weight. Since Stephen is (23 comments)
