What are the fundamental differences between Conservatives and Liberals? - 10/29/10 07:39 AM
I am a conservative.  It is good to see the differences pointed out in such a specific manner.  Left or Right make sure we make our votes count on this November 2nd, 2010.  I think we will look back and realize how important this election and the 2012 one will be for the future of our country.

With the 2010 elections coming up next week, I have been doing some soul searching on political positions and trying to get an honest grip of how my beliefs might fit in on a "standardized scale".  I … (1 comments)

Unclaimed Funds: Where Are They? Part 13 - 10/29/10 07:30 AM
Hey I could use some extra money.  Maybe someone in Indiana could use some too.  Check out the web address below and see if you have some too.
Needless to say we all deserve it and probably need it.

I will give you a description of each site and the link to use so that you can find out if you are owed any money that you may not know about.

Are You Happy? - 10/28/10 07:58 AM
I AM HAPPY.  EVERYDAY I LIVE.  LOOK FOR HAPPINESS IN EVERY WAKING MOMENT OF THE DAY.  IF YOU LOOK FOR IT....YOU WILL FIND IT.  LOOK FOR LITTLE THINGS.  I OFTEN LAUGH AT MYSELF.
Via Jon Zolsky, Daytona Beach, FL. FunCoast Realty, 386-405-4408:
I remember waking early in the morning when I was little. It is freezing cold in the apartment, and it was impossible to open the tired eyes…impossible to get out of the warm bed into the cold morning air… put on that cold clothes, wash with ice cold water, and then walk to school on an ice covered walkways…

Will the Fall 2010 Election Stimulate the Housing Market? - 10/27/10 08:16 AM
The economy is the key to our failing housing market.  It will not be the first sign of improvement, but  a good dose of confidence in our Leadership will be the beginning of our return to a new normal.  It will be a long time before we ever see the inflated prices of homes.  It will come, because inflation will come.
We just need to prepare for both.

Duct Cleaning And Air Filters (2 of 2) - 10/27/10 07:14 AM
There has always been questions in my mind about the effectiveness of duct cleaning.  Maybe this article will help me as well as you to make a decision.
Via Jay Markanich (Jay Markanich Real Estate Inspections, LLC):
In the previous post I discussed dusty ducts and their contents.  That post has become increasingly popular!  And I have received many private contacts asking for the follow up!
So, how can we prevent such dust build up in our ducts and forestall its accumulation?
First, there are two HVAC industry philosophies on household air filtration.
Second, there are many types of filters out there - … (0 comments)

HOME BUYING AND SELLING IS A MAJOR COMPONENT OF THE ECONOMY - 10/26/10 08:57 AM
Home buying and selling still remains an important segment of our economy.  The housing sector has the unique power to revitalize the economy during challenging time.  WITH HISTORICALLY LOW Mortgage rates, buyers and sellers continue to have opportunity to :
TRADE UP...................TRADE DOWN....................RELOCATE.................PURCHASE A 2ND HOME.
First time home buyers make up 47% of the market.  Sellers take note!  There are buyers out there looking everyday.  Pricing your home is the key to selling .  Move ON with your life.  Do not try to hold onto hyper inflated EQUITY , that we did not have in the first place.

I Live in Realityville :: Do You? - 10/26/10 08:01 AM
Indianapolis also has "Realtyville".  Our mls system does not lie.  Figures do not lie.  Why, as a seller, would you put yourself through the anxiety of having your home for sale, waiting, and putting your life on hold for the right buyer to darken your doorstep.  As agents, we have all the facts.  When presented properly, and the seller still wants more......we should walk away.  The hardest question a Realtor has to answer is "Why hasn't my home SOLD.  IT IS OVERPRICED, but the Realtor needs to take responsibility because they wanted the listing bad enough to move out of "Realtyville."

POLITICALLY CORRECTNESS FOR REALTORS - 10/25/10 07:41 AM

REALTORS HAVE ALWAYS PRACTICED A CERTAIN POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, BECAUSE OF THE IMAGE THAT THEY WANT THEIR CLIENTS TO SEE.  SOME WILL NOT TALK ABOUT THEIR RELIGION.  SOME WILL NOT TALK ABOUT THEIR POLITICS.  SOME WILL NOT DRIVE A FOREIGN CAR.
IT IS TIME CLIENTS GET TO KNOW THE REAL REALTOR.
I WANT MY BUYERS AND SELLERS TO KNOW WHO I AM:
I AM A CHRISTIAN!
i AM A CONSERVATIVE
I MAY CHOOSE TO DRIVE A FOREIGN CAR, RATHER THAN A GM PRODUCT
I AM AGAINST BIG GOVERNMENT
I AM AGAINST ORGANIZED LABOR
I AM AGAINST GOVERNMENT BAILOUTS

REAL ESTATE AND THE 2012 SUPER BOWL - 10/25/10 07:19 AM
How can the SUPER BOWL coming to town in 2012 impact our neighborhoods?  Believe it or not, it is.
Streets are prettier, flowers are being planted, all in preparation for the 2012 Super Bowl coming to Indianapolis.  Better yet.  Our near east side is being revitalized.  Homes are being rehabbed, as well as making them available to the homeless.  Everyone in the city is buzzing about how excited they are about our city being the host.  The ripple effect for our city is awesome.  Every city should host a super bowl every year.  Imagine how much could get done!!

Working With A Realtor...How It Works. - 10/25/10 07:06 AM
WORKING WITH A REALTOR MAKES YOUR HOME BUYING PROCESS MUCH EASIER.  I PERSONALLY SHARE MY KNOWLEDGE OF AREAS, VALUES, AND CONSTRUCTION QUALITY.  I KNOW INSTINCTIVELY HOW TO SHOW AND TELL YOU WHAT IS WRONG WITH A HOME.   SO MANY TIMES, I KNOW BEFORE I EVEN WALK IN THE DOOR WHAT I WILL SEE.  I ALWAYS TELL MY CLIENTS "NEIGHBORHOOD FIRST"  "HOUSE SECOND"  BUYING THE BEST HOUSE IN THE WORST NEIGHBORHOOD DOES NOT WORK.

"BIG BROTHER" IS SAYING "OPEN WIDE" - 10/24/10 06:55 PM
I Try so hard to express my opinion with my vote.  BUT this takes the cake, AND IS ONE MORE REASON FOR ME TO BLOW MY STACK.  (NEXT THING YOU KNOW THEY WILL EXTRACT MY ANGRY BUTTON)
In a USA TODAY article written by Larry Copeland  made my blood boil.
Under Federal Highway Administration rules, all communities have until 2015 to improve nighttime visibility of roadside signs, such as STOP, YIELD, and RAILROAD CROSSINGS.  All street signs must be changed from all capital letters to capital letters and small letters.  If these towns do not comply, they risk loss of federal … (1 comments)

IS YOUR MORTGAGE UPSIDE DOWN.? - 10/23/10 03:10 PM
I think we all need to reflect on how each of us got into our own mess, whatever that may be.  UPSIDE DOWN MORTGAGE, HIGH CREDIT CARD DEBT, TO MUCH MONTH AT THE END OF THE MONEY.  My parents were newlyweds during the "Great Depression".  They learned their lesson.  We, on the other hand are just learning our lesson.
We all buy nice houses and pretty cars.  While we always thought our homes would appreciate forever, we still bought cars that depreciate as soon as we drive it off the lot.    How about those 3 or 4 credit cards that … (0 comments)

Do you qualify for a short sale? - 10/23/10 08:48 AM
Short sales have become one of the ways we can save ourselves from bankruptcy.  It will put a gray mark on your credit, rather than a black mark.  You can qualify to purchase again after 2 years.  Call me if you are in the Indianapolis or surrounding counties if you need help.  1-317-507-2005
