Help! Ideas for gifts for closings??? - 06/16/07 08:12 PM
I've been racking my brain trying to come up with a fun, creative and memorable closing gift for my clients.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Do you give the same gift to all clients regardless of the price of the transaction?  I've given a variety of gifts from good champagne & flutes; gift certificates to restaurants, home improvement centers; and plants.  The stress of deciding on the gift is almost more than getting through the contingency period!  Advice would be greatly appreciated! … (20 comments)

The Madison Farmers' Market opened yesterday and was well attended.  The market will run every Friday from 3 to 6 now into October.  Vendors were marketing a wide variety of local products:  Jam, preserves, pies, plants, vegetables, fish, meat, bread and even soap.  Something for everyone - stop by and check it out!  It's a wonderful opportunity to purchase local or organic items and support your local farm.

92 Bartlett, 2280 sq feet priced at $519,000
447 Bartlett Drive, 3503 sq feet, priced at $739,000
327 Bartlett Drive, 3844 sq feet, priced at $775,000.
Some homes are under contract and are waiting for their new owners to move in:

The most expensive home was on Captain's Drive, which sold for $1,804,500.  This was one of 3 homes which sold at prices over $1M.
The $300K to $400K price range had 11 transactions and is the most active price range.

 Welcome to Clinton, Connecticut, located in between Madison and Westbrook in Middlesex County.  Killingworth is located to its north.  Clinton is an easy commute to Hartford, New Haven, Middletown and New London.  The population is approximately 14,000, however during the summer months, it's estimated at closer to 20,000.
 Clinton offers something for everyone - Shopping at the Clinton Premium Outlets; fishing; boating; bicycling and of course, unwinding at the beach.  It's also a easy ride to the Mohegan Sun or Foxwood Casinos.

So far in 2007:
94 homes have sold since January 1;
10 of these homes were priced over $1M; 
 4 homes were between 900K and $1M;
9 were between $800K and $900K;
10 were between $700K and $800K;
6 were in the $600K's;
10 were sold in the $500K range;
45 were below $500K
Currently there are 208 homes actively on the market and 26 condos on the market.
Only 8 condos have sold in town this year - prices have varied from $180K to $1.1M for a unit in town.
