Delaware Walk/Run for Autism in Lewes, Delaware
Lace up your shoes and walk or run for Autism. The event takes place at Irish Eyes Restaurant in Lewes, Delaware on Sunday, April 10. The goal this year is to raise $175,000.
There is a Kiddie Fun Run, 5K Walk or Run and a Half Marathon. On site registration is from 5-8PM Saturday, April 9 and from 6:45 -8AM on Sunday April 10. The Kiddie Fun Run starts at 7:50AM, Half Marathon starts at 8AM and the 5K Walk or Run starts at 8:15AM.

The 18th Annual St Patrick's Day Parade in Dover, Delaware will take place in Downtown Dover starting at 2PM. The parade will be held rain or shine and includes at least 70 entrants.
Prizes are awarded for: Anything with Wheels, Best Mascot, Best Float, Best Animal, Best Musical Group, Best Marching Band, Best Adult Costume, High School. Middle School, Most Authentic Irish Theme and Best Overall.

Paying It Forward with Fresh Produce for Food Banks
We all are good about donating canned and boxed food items to the local Food Banks. I hadn't thought of it until I saw an article the other day about planting some extra vegetable plants when planting your backyard garden. Then take the extra vegetables to local Food Bank.
Also, if there is a local Community Vegetable Garden near you, become a partner and donate time to tend to the plants. Then when the harvesting times come around you'll have extras to take to the Food Bank.

Mark your calendar for Friday April 1st. Delaware Hospice is hosting their 3rd Annual Beef and Brew event. It will be held at the Georgetown CHEER Center at 20520 Sand Hill Road in Georgetown, Delaware from 6:30 - 10:30PM. It is about one mile east of town on the corner of Route 9 and Sand Hill Road.

Chocolate Festival in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
The 21st Annual Chocolate Festival in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware is this Saturday, March 5 from 11:30 until 3:30. It is held at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.
Admission is $2.00 and tastings are 50 cents each. Pace yourself as take outs aren't allowed. Children 5 and under are admitted free. There will be lots of children's games and activities.
Anyone can enter the baking contest. Just register that morning and provide your entry between 7:00 and 8:30 AM. There are several categories and lots of prizes.
