People are always asking me “Lyn, how many homes are selling?” Well that seems to make a difference is what area or subdivision you live in. It’s really not an evasive answer. Each area and subdivision is totally different! Here’s what I can tell you about the overall Bartlett market – Single Family Homes - Bartlett averages 32 home sales a month. Inventory is slightly up over the last few months and is highest amoung the surround towns. The percentage of homes going under contract each month is 24 to 30%. Bartlett is a great small community located in Cook, DuPage and a small part in Kane Counties. The population was 41,000 by the 2011 census and has definitely grown from the original 360 in 1900. Slow and Steady goes our Northwest Suburban Real Estate Market for the 10th consecutive month. We are moving ahead with recovery here and sales have successfully reached above the 2010 level of closings. For the month of January, Bartlett Single Family Home closings are now 25% above last year and Bartlett Multi-Family are now up 20% over the same period. Positive Signs continue in our Northwest Suburban Real Estate Market for the 8th consecutive month. We are moving ahead with recovery here and sales have successfully reached above the 2010 level of closings. For November, Bartlett Single Family Homes are now 32% above 2010 closings and Bartlett Multi-Family are now up 17% over 2010. Signs of life in our Bartlett IL Real Estate Market recently. We are moving ahead and sales have finally reached above the 2010 level of closings. For the 3rd Quarter of 2011 Bartlett Single Family Homes are 236% above 2010 closings and Bartlett Multi-Family are 100% over 2010.As of yet there are still no price gains that I can see with the foreclosures still leading the way in current sales. Awwww...... ) That's pretty much what the market is shaping up for in our area over the next 2 months of 2010. What is selling seems to be on the low end of every price range which will further pull down the average or median sales prices in our area.
