I am still new to the whole blog thing so I apologize for the quality of the picture now...

Here is our new little girl! She is a Shih Tzu with LOTS of energy and spunk! She is not afraid of anything - including our Boxer and Shepard mix!

Our dilemma... we need a name! My 3 boys, husband and I cannot agree on a name and are having a hard time coming up with one that fits her personality...

Can anyone out there help us? She comes when called by making kissing noises, she goes potty outside when you tell her, she LOVES to BITE feet - yes, she has a foot fetish! She is very mighty in a tiny body... all this and only 9 weeks old!

I appreciate all your help! :)

Um.. Uh.. Er... What are you trying to say??

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and they said Um, Uh, Er, You Know... so many times you just wanted to say - What are you trying to tell me??

I know someone who says "you know" every other word - I finally started to say "no, I don't know" because it drove me crazy...

This year I was introduced to a club called Toastmasters. I have enjoyed it so much, I wanted to share this with everyone! This is a Speech Club - you basically learn how to talk!

If you have never been to a Toastmasters meeting, you need to try it at least one time - I am hooked! I have always had a fear of getting in front of large groups of people - even though I have done that for the last 8 years - my heart would always pound out of my chest, my mind would begin to race and sometimes I would forget what I was supposed to say and have to come up with something completely different... since joining Toastmasters, I have since done 7 speeches and competed in 2 Contests - one I came in 2^nd - that was great for my first time! At first I was nervous, but now I can't wait to get up there and do something!

This is a club to help you with your speech - all areas of speech... your tones, your subjects, filler words - um, uh, etc. - you become aware of them and use them less (really helps when talking to large audiences) and just the ability to speak in front of people.

For all of you in the Conroe, TX area - please join us at Real Talk. We meet on Mondays from 11:30 to 12:45 and meet at Keller Williams located at 2200 N. FM 3083 W. If you are not in Conroe, you can look up Toastmasters for a location nearest you - it has changed my life and can do the same for you!
