Get the spirit - volunteer in your time - 12/20/07 03:16 PM
Christmastime is insane, isn't it? Half the time, we're so busy running around and worrying about insignificant things (like, do I have enough gifts, have I found something for everyone, etc.) that we forget to relax and really have spirit. What I mean by spirit is this: time and inclination to reflect on blessings of the last year; time and inclination to look enjoy the people in your life. Every year, I swear to myself, that this year will be different. That this year, I will only focus on things that really matter, and that I will get into the Christmas spirit.

Improving Credit Score - looking for tips for a client - 12/17/07 02:55 PM
I have info from a couple of years ago from different lenders on how consumers can improve their credit scores. With scores becoming increasingly more important, and because they are being used in so many different ways, I'm wondering if there is new advice for our clients on how to get scores up. If you, a client, a lender etc. has found a way to improve their score, please share the info. Thanks!

What's the best Holiday Gift for Clients? - 12/11/07 05:02 PM
Every year I try to come up with a good, low cost but high quality gift to give clients I've done business with in the past year. This is no small feat! Here's what I've come up with this year and in years past: A Christmas Tree - our company holds an annual event where clients bring in an unwrapped gift to donate to Toys for Tots (this is optional). In exchange, the agent gives them a tree or wreath. Since many people have company over the holidays, they often tell friends and family that their agent gave them their tree. Great

Negative Media Coverage an issue? Plug for David Knox: a tip to pass along and info about his seminars and DVDs - 12/05/07 03:42 PM
Yesterday I joined 800 of my fellow Coldwell Banker Burnet agents at a seminar with David Knox. If you have never seen David, you are missing out. He has been in real estate for the last 30+ years and a trainer for many of them. He is entertaining - which is great. More importantly, he delivers a great message and has great products, some of which I've been using for years. One of the biggest take home messages I got yesterday was that we have got to stop thinking about the media's coverage of the market as negative. This is a change
