by John and Sandy Kohlmoos Bend Home Sales and Central Oregon Spring Weather Typical Central Oregon weather . . . we've gone from winter to spring
and back to winter again.
The Bend real estate market seems to have gone through similar moods and vacillations this first quarter of 2010. There have been moments of hope and optimism (CNN.Money . . . Bend Oregon Appreciation) balanced by the fear and despair (Bend Oregon Price Drop Leads Nation) of a continuing downward spiral. Ironically, like the weather in (0 comments)

Tetherow Golf Club . . . Pay the Temperature www.bestbendhomes.com
by John and Sandy Kohlmoos The Tetherow Golf Club, the cornerstone amenity for the community of Tetherow in Bend Oregon, is offering a clever (and fun) promotion for the month of April. It's called "pay the temperature," and allows one to play the fabulous David McLay Kidd track at Tetherow at a potentially incredible (and chilly!) discount.
Tetherow "Pay the Temperature" . . . how it works Normal rates for for a round of golf at Tetherow (voted recently by Golf Magazine as "the best new course you can (0 comments)
by Rocco 35 SW Quail Butte Place, Bend Oregon 97702 Offered at $1,095,000 Rocco's Pick of the Week Sometimes I use some rather esoteric criteria in selecting my pick of the week from the Bend Oregon MLS tour. Last week, it was a sore paw and a problematic shoulder. This week, I guess you could say it's nostalgia. For the home in Bend which I selected belongs to my former girlfriend . . . a curvaceous chocolate lab named Molly B. She used to live next door (2 comments)
by John and Sandy Kohlmoos 60875 Grand Targhee, Bend OR 97702 MLS #201002809 Offered at $339,000 The Sunny Southeast Side of Bend Oregon Even as our Bend Oregon real estate market starts to heat up with the arrival of spring, the sunny southeast side of Bend Oregon is sometimes neglected . . . sort of the red-haired stepchild of the more hyped west side. Reality is, the quaint Mountain Pines community set amidst the tall ponderosa and twisted juniper just west of the Bend Golf and Country Club, is a casual community that's (0 comments)
by Rocco Rocco's Pick of the Week I've been dragging a bit this week . . . not my usual ebullient terrier self. My shoulder and left fore-paw have been bothering me . . . enough so, I wasn't even too excited about doing my weekly Bend Oregon MLS tour and subsequent "pick of the week."
Nevertheless, when I'd finished my ablutions, I limped dutifully to the car and clamored rather heavily into the back behind my mistress. We left Broken Top and passed a couple of (1 comments)
by John and Sandy Kohlmoos 20964 Gardenia Ave., Bend Oregon 97702 MLS# 201003145 Offered at $399,900 "Simply Irresistible" Yeah, I borrowed the title from Robert Palmer and his 1988 classic and video . . . but, it certainly fits this home in Bend Oregon. Besides, I wanted to see if sex really can help sell homes. Set on the sunny and central south side of Bend, the home offers a classic cultured stone exterior complete with copper gutters and outstanding fenestration.
by John and Sandy Kohlmoos I keep going with these photos that seemingly have nothing to do with with real estate in Bend Oregon. But the snow conditions have been so good, and Mt. Bachelor is such a big part of (our ) Central Oregon lifestyle, I'll stick with them. March Home Sales in Bend Oregon March was a pretty active month . . . we saw 140 sales of single family homes in Bend. That's up 33% from the 105 we had for February's house sales in Bend Oregon. by John and Sandy Kohlmoos 1671 NW Albany AveBend, OR 97701 Offered at $459,000 Listing # 2909429 Bend Oregon Bungalow The Bend Oregon real estate market runs hot (2000-2006) and cold (2006 to the present). But regardless of the state of the industry, whether a multiple offer bloodbath seller's market or today's "best buyer's market in 20 years," there are areas and homes on Bend's westside that are always in demand. This bungalow in Miller Heights is perhaps a prototypical example. It's comfortably and proudly ensconced in large trees (1 comments)
