Despite experiencing an overall drop in violent crime last year, San Jose remained at No. 4 for the third year in a row on the annual list of safest cities with populations of 500,000 or more, based on crime rates per 1,000 people. The report, issued Monday and published by CQ Press, is based on FBI crime statistics for 2009

The Pet Parade was a blast! - 11/07/10 11:59 AM
The Sunnyvale Pet Parade was a blast.  Not only were the pets dressed in their halloween's best, but so were the owners!  Great fun was had by all, there were everything from the "ugliest dog" to a zebra stripped horse.  Audience participation was needed as contestants were competiting for:  the most talented pooch, the best dressed pooch & owner, best float etc.  In addition there was a farmers market going on and a section of pet stands offering everything from pet supplies to pet care.

On the go, don't forget your ABC (vitamins) - 11/02/10 11:35 PM
Getting your ABC in vitamins and making it healty and fun at the same time is e-z-2-do.  We're often times on the go and don't have a whole lot of time to make a three course hot meal, so what I like to do is make a healthy meal/snack that gets me excited.  Dipping is always fun and inviting to different flavors.  I cut up some carrot, celery, cucumbers and avacado and start dipping in peanut butter, ranch dressing, or italian salad dressing and "YUM".....not only filling, but healthy and good for you!  Kids love it too!

Bicycle Safety Tip - 11/02/10 12:12 AM
Just an FYI; "A bike shall be operated in the same direction as vehicles are required to be driven upon the roadway."  This makes you visible and predictable to other road users, including those emerging from cross streets and driveways.
