Well, consider this: Experts say that keeping a closer eye on your dreams can actually help you improve your life.“Every night when you dream, you subconsciously assess what’s going on in your life,” says Gayle Delaney, PhD, author of In Your Dreams. “And if you pay attention, you can use it as a way to solve problems.” Here’s how to decipher your dreams, use them to your advantage, and understand why … (1 comments)

When do you take your Social Security payments? - 07/27/11 10:20 AM
New online tools can help retirees — with some caveats
One of the most critical decisions older Americans face is when to start their Social Security benefits.
People often claim their benefits at the earliest age possible — 62. But experts say it's best to wait until one's full retirement age, or even age 70, which is when one is eligible for the largest monthly benefit possible.
According to many experts, Social Security beneficiaries often leave a lot of money on the table by claiming early. It's prudent, therefore, to run the numbers to determine the best age to claim.

Short Sale info you should know - 07/21/11 07:32 PM
Due to plummeting real estate values in recent years, there are record numbers of homeowners who owe more on their mortgages than the market value of their homes.  This is commonly called being “upside down” in the mortgage, and under certain conditions, the homeowner may qualify for a short sale on the home.  A short sale is when the lender forgives a portion of or lowers the loan amount in order for the property to be sold at market value. Simply stated, lenders make the financial decision to dispose of the property in a regular real estate transaction instead of foreclosing … (1 comments)

Rules of Golf - 07/19/11 10:51 AM

LAW 1: No matter how bad your last shot was, the worst is yet to come. This law does not expire on the 18th hole, since it has the supernatural tendency to extend over the course of a tournament, a summer and, eventually, a lifetime. LAW 2: Your best round of golf will be followed almost immediately by your worst round ever. The probability of the latter increases with the number of people you tell about the former. LAW 3: Brand new golf balls are water-magnetic. Though this cannot be proven in the lab, it is a known fact that … (0 comments)

Orange County our Vacation Land - 07/18/11 06:27 PM
We live in Vacation land and we are always planning a vacation somewhere else. It seems to me that we could help our local economy by going to local eateries, enjoying nearby lounges, visiting OC entertainment centers.
4th of July weekend was the first time we stayed local for this holiday. We enjoyed the sights by riding bicycles from Corona Del Mar down the coast onto Balboa Island. We went in and out of local shops; then took the Balboa ferry across to the Balboa Peninsula and then we rode up the board walk all the way up to Huntington Beach … (0 comments)

Why is Cancer on the rise? One reason could be... - 07/13/11 10:25 AM
My car book says to roll down the windows to let out all the hot air before turning on A/C. WHY? Car Air-conditioning - No wonder more folks are dying from cancer than ever before. We wonder where this stuff comes from but here is an example that explains a lot of the cancer causing incidents. Many people are in their cars first thing in the morning and the last thing at night, 7 days a week. As I read this, it makes me feel guilty and ill. Please pass this on to as many people as possible. Guess it's not … (2 comments)
