The Riverfront at Harbour View community creates a resort lifestyle for its residents through the many first class amenities it provides. But it's the human element that really brings it all to life. Anyone can build a swimming pool, playgrounds, even waterfront parks, tennis & volleyball courts, and babbling brooks, but the programming of these facilities is the vital component that creates that sense of community people are yearning for.
At The Riverfront Swim Club, it's the full time Activities Director that functions as the heartbeat of the community, bringing it all to life. Summertime fun at the pool (0 comments)
Anniversary of one of the Most Amazing Basketball Shots in College Basketball History - 01/22/11 11:19 AM
31st anniversary of the "Henson Heave" For all of you college basketball fans out there, take a look at the CBS Sports' "shot of the decade", from January 21st, 1980. Many have never seen this historic shot by a Virginia Tech player, one that actually won the basketball game against Florida State. January 21st marks the 31st anniversary of the Henson Heave, an 89'3″ shot hucked by Les Henson at the buzzer to beat Florida State 79 to 77 back in 1980. When I say it was a length of the court shot, I mean the full length of the court. Did (0 comments)
Big Splashes and Freezing Toes - Taking Community Fun to the Extreme - 01/21/11 08:36 AM
It's January 1st, 2011 in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia... the air is a brisk 41 degrees, with snow on the ground and wispy white clouds racing across the sky in the frigid breeze. More than 100 residents, young and old, gather at the community swimming pool with their suits on and towels in hand. They screamed, they laughed, and they shivered on that New Year's Day, but nothing could keep the annual Polar Bear Plungers from taking that wild ride down the 100-foot slide into the bone-chilling 34-degree water.
Why do the residents of The Riverfront and Founders Pointe (0 comments)

What are Some of the Benefits of Living in a Master Planned Community? - 01/18/11 02:19 PM
What are Some of the Benefits of Living in a Master Planned Community? There are many reasons why today's homebuyers are seeking planned communities as a place to call home. It's not always about price. Some buyers are finding out that the so called "right price" is not necessarily also the "right home", or neighborhood for their family.
Many of today's homebuyers in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia are searching for a sense of belonging....a place they can enjoy recreation and have a lot of fun things to do without leaving their neighborhood. Yes, they want a fair value, but they also want (2 comments)
If you're selling waterfront property, it is definitely worthwhile to have a professional aerial photo taken of the property you are marketing. East West Communities been developing waterfront communities in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia since the mid '80's and we've found that a really good aerial shot of your development and the waterways help prospective customers see the BIG picture.
An attractive aerial photograph that captures the expanse of the river in the background is a great piece for a marketing brochure, a supplemental website graphic, and makes a great postcard for follow up. The aerial above left (2 comments)
