Is Free Wireless Internet Service in The City Of Mobile's Future? - 12/29/08 10:25 AM
A recent article by the City of Mobile Press Register reported that Mayor Sam Jones had given a directive to the telecommunications and technology departments to look into the plausibility of providing free wireless internet service in downtown Mobile. According to Mayor Jones "That's something we consider a priority. A lot of people are interested in having broadband access.... It would be a selling point for Mobile." Apparently the mayor realizes the potential benefit to business users, and the social impact for our young people.

In addition, there are 545 Active listings. Current average list price is $473,191. Prices range from $69,000-$4,500,000. Half are listed below the median price of $339,000 and half are listed above that price.

EASTERN SHORE ALABAMA RESIDENTIAL HOME SALE REPORT - 12/16/08 03:48 PM
The Eastern Shore of Alabama consists of Fairhope, Point Clear, Daphne, Montrose, & Spanish Fort which are situated on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay.
The NAR market report for September through November reveals 172 homes sold, and 14 condos, for the above mentioned areas only.
The top three price categories for residential homes only were:
$200,000-$249,999 with 36 selling in this price range, 27 homes sold in the $300,000-$399,999 range, and 24 homes in the $160,000-$179,999 range. Only 2 homes over a million dollars sold during this time period.  The average days on market were 162 for all of the 172 homes that sold.
