On a consistent basis I will run into people I know, and the most frequent question I receive is "How is the market in Tulsa? Well it depends on who you talk to. Some are reaping the benefits of the flood of properties in my area. Others are saddened that their home is not worth what they assumed it would be. Homes are selling at a slower pace, but they do sell. Buyers want a deal. I have received several calls about wanting a $200,000 house for $100,000, because that is OBVIOUSLY what the seller would take to get out of the house.(NOT) Some assume that we have these lists of homes that are selling for a 1/4 of what they are worth. Yes you may get a deal but do not take advantage of someones situation to make a profit. It may be strange to hear that, but when I see a seller cry because they are upside down in a home they love, but are forced to sell, I cannot help but get a little mad when a buyer comes in with an offer half of the listing price with, closing paid by seller, and appliances stay. Are you kidding me??? Do some people not realize how their actions affect others??? In this profession I do not expect to work with sharks. We are professionals, we know right from wrong, and we are in this field to provide for our families, but we also love that we help singles, couples, and families, change their lives, the excitement of a child picking out their own room. That is a bonus!!! Yes this is a buyers market, that is what I can say.
I heard this week that a warranty company that I have been pushing for two years is not accepting new clients. Wow!!! I am shocked that this has happened and wonder what the plan is for the future of warranty companies in my great state of OKLAHOMA. Has anyone had else had trust in a company that has delivered the the goods????
So at my daughters school tonight was a talent show. When we arrived I sat down and started talking to some of the parents. I met two realtors from two different companies and we all shared info for about 2 hours. I love the fact that the competition flags did not come up, as it does with SOME realtors. I learned alot, and hope I made some new friends!!!!Just wanted to share how much I LOVE this business!!!
At my office meeting this week a woman from a warrenty company gave us a speech for free food. Got to love it. Well she gave us door hangers that we could put out on FSBOS stating "I as a Realtor would pay for the home warrenty if the seller would list with me." Now keep in mind it runs about $420 and would come out at closing, but I would pay taxes on it. Has anyone else used this type of baiting. Or something else? Do you think it would work??
I refuse to print from my computer and use my ink!!!!
Now that being said, I was previously with a company that did not give the color option when printing. It made me sad, because so many presentations would have looked better with color!!!
Now to the present, I have a color option in my current company. I LOVE to print in color, my flyers, presentations, farm letter, ect.... Everything is in color!!!!!!
This small insignificant thing has changed my life!!!!!!
