Smyrna Business Association’s March luncheon will held at the Smyrna Community Center, 200 Village Green Circle, Smyna, GA 30080 (directions) on Thursday, the 3rd. The luncheon is from 11:30 to 1:00pm. Cost is $10 for members who RSVP and $20 for non-members.

New School Site Proposed for Smyrna by Belmont Hills - 03/01/11 02:31 PM
The Cobb County School District has announced a proposed site for a new Smyrna elementary school that would become a central piece of the redevelopment of the former Belmont Hills shopping center.
The school district has identified property between Ward Street and Atlanta Road, immediately north end east of Campbell High School. The property serves the district and the community's needs as a convenient location for the new school approved by voters in 2008 as part of the school capital projects program funded by a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.

Ending years of anticipation, construction has begun on the redevelopment of The Crossings at Four Corners shopping center in Smyrna at the corner of South Cobb Drive and Concord Road. The Crossings at Four Corners was purchased by Tri-Land Properties out of Chicago along with several outparcels in front of the shopping center in December of 2006. Demolition work is well underway.
