Have you seen the signs posted all over Rockland County? These intriguing postings are located on many exit ramps of the Palisades Interstate Parkway and on most major roads throughout the County. All are advertising Free Mosquito-Eating Fish? I only wish that I could come up with an advertising campaign this compelling! Of course, it has the word "free," which always helps, and "mosquito-eating fish," which is kind of mysterious. So, I simply had to investigate further. What I found is that the County of Rockland is offering free Fathead Minnows to county residents. Apparently, mosquitoes like to lay eggs, which turn into larvae, in moist areas of standing … (2 comments)
