ABSORPTION RATE - An estimate of the rate at which a particular classification of space - such as new office space, new housing, new condominium units and the like - will be sold or occupied each year.
The absorption rate for the Hernando County Real Estate continues to adjust with the quanitiy of listings available and sales each month.   
 
The inventory for August is around 2 years for Existing Homes.

The Hernando County Real Estate Homes sold Market Report August 2008 details the history leading up to August on existing home sales in Hernando County.
With 125 homes sold during the month shows August as the second lowest month since January 2007.  The only month lower was January 2008.

I have prepared a detailed graph on the monthly variance between list price and sales price of homes sold in the Hernando County Real Estate Market. The variance is at the highest in 20 months and show that sellers are accepting less for their property. While homes sold in Hernando County have shown a continued drop from the 12 month high in May. This data shows that a properly priced home is important in todays market conditions.

I have prepared a detailed graph on the monthly Absorption Rate of home sales in the Hernando County Real Estate Market. Homes sold in Hernando County have shown a continued drop from the 12 month high in May. The monthly drop in sales and the supply of available homes have continued to keep the Absorption Rate high.

I have prepared a detailed graph on existing home sales in the Hernando County Real Estate Market. Homes sold in Hernando County have shown a continued drop from the 12 month high in May. Homes sales have drop 60+ when compaired to homes sold in August of last year and the second lowest in 20 months.
