As 30-year fixed mortgage rates remain low for two straight weeks, I thought I would take the opportunity to blog about just how low these rates are. In the last week of March, the weekly average rate borrowers were quoted for a 30-year fixed mortgage rate around the nation remained steady at 5.09%, while 15-year fixed mortgages were 4.80%. However, each state quotes different mortgage rates. Thirty-year fixed mortgage rates vary by each state. This week's interest national interest rate rests at 4.78%. Therefore, the United Way of Amarillo & Canyon's Day of Caring Committee led the community to clean up its neighborhoods.
