saving: B.C. residents less concerned about debt & focus on daily budget - 02/16/12 09:36 AM
We have noticed that  "B.C. residents [are] less concerned about debt: poll While rest of Canada looks to catch up in 2012, British Colombians will focus on daily budget" .   British Columbia residents say they're going to focus on budgeting and managing their day-to-day spending in 2012, while the rest of the country is focused on paying down debt, a new CIBC poll shows.   Canadians were accumulating record levels of debt and recorded a drop in the net worth of the average household.  Declines in the value of pension assets forced average household net worth to reduce.   Canadians over 65 years of age are … (0 comments)

saving: HST affects home sales in B.C. - 01/06/12 03:47 PM

Many people may not know the 12-percent HST applies only to new homes and not to previously occupied houses being resold. However, the provincial government apparently hasn’t done a good job informing people about this.  A client told me he think he can save a lot if he buys a house after the HST is cancelled.   I smiled and said, "you know what sire, actually not too many home buyers are waiting until the referendum on the harmonized sales tax is finished before making their purchase."  He bacame puzzled & curious and asked why, then I told him the price is getting … (0 comments)

saving: Buying a house in the U.S.? We help you Win! - 01/06/12 03:42 PM
Have you considered to buy a house in the U.S.?  According to a recent survey, one in five Canadians are contemplating scooping up one of the almost four million "undervalued" properties that are now for sale in the United States.   Of course, there can be a chasm between contemplation and action.  But with the loonie at a three-year high and prices in some southern states down more than 50%, legions of Canadians are being tempted.   Canadians know that these prices are the equoivalent of 1950's prices in the US and they are not going to ignore it.  In the article "Buying … (1 comments)

Hello, my name is Jark! I have been a real estate investor for the past 15 years, predominately in the Greater Vancouver area but also in the developing real-estate locales of Whistler as well as Revelstoke. I share my research and writing on a daily basis as an added service to my clients. It's important to realize that REALTORS are not only sales people but are also scholars of Real Estate in their own right. The hundreds of articles I've published serve to exemplify this point. In Vancouver specifically, I’ve bought and sold more than four businesses of my own – prior to licensing as a real estate licensee – and have bought three passive real-estate holdings. If you’re looking for an agent who’s not only thought about real estate but has also bought and sold his own properties, and taken his own calculated risks, give me a holler and we’ll discuss the market and your participation therein. For more than theory, speak to someone who’s empirically on the same page as an experienced real estate investor.
