Friends, Buyers, Countrymen...Lend Me your Ears on Arrears - 01/25/10 08:35 PM
Arrears is a legal term for that part of a debt which is overdue after missing one or more required payments. The amount of the arrears is the amount accrued from the date on which the first missed payment was due. The account is then said to be "in arrears". The term is often used in relation to periodically recurring payments such as rent, bills, royalties (or other contractual payments), and child support. In real estate, sometimes the buyer will be responsible for TAXES in arrears. For example, most Fannie Mae properties require the buyer to pay for the unpaid taxes and the unpaid homeowner association

Youth Leader Appreciation - 01/23/10 09:18 PM
LASER QUEST is a FUN place to take the kids!! Boasting the world's "most advanced laser tag equipment available", Laser Quest provides a large, multi-level building in which to play laser tag. My son has had more than one birthday party here, and he would give it two thumbs up. We have a laser tag facility closer to home, but he insists that Laser Quest is by far worth the extra distance traveled!! That said, Laser Quest is offering a nice promotion as a reward to those who give of themselves to our community. On Tuesday, February 23, they are hosting

Grateful Each Day :) - 01/18/10 07:52 PM
I suppose the days that I feel the most successful are the days that I outline my "action plan". I have most every minute accounted for and that makes me feel "on top of things". I definitely accomplish more on those days. Of course, most days that look good on paper don't always turn out as anticipated. A client may cancel a scheduled meeting, your little one may come down with the flu, or the cash deal may have fallen through after the inspection report came back. It is days like this that I must take my own advice!! I have told my kids

Delicious, Nutritious Pancakes on a COLD day! - 01/10/10 03:04 PM
Breakfast is your most important meal of the day!! :) This is our family recipe for pancakes which we traditionally eat each Saturday. However, with the VERY cold weather we've been having, we've been eating them more often. This recipe was created from trial and error in an effort to achieve the light and fluffy "Bisquick" flavor without the Bisquick transfat. If your family prefers white flour, feel free to substitute white flour for the whole batch! (or all wheat flour for that matter.) www.Freedigitalphotos.net - "Cornish Cream Tea" by Clare Bloomfield 1 1/4 cups flour (I use one half

Coles Crossing Finishes 2009 with 9 SOLDS!!! - 01/03/10 10:29 PM
Nine homes sold this past month (December 2009) in the consistently popular Coles Crossing subdivision in Cypress, TX ! The prices ranged from $160,000 for a 3 bedroom/2 bath home up to $376,000 for a nearly 4000 sq. ft. home with a 3 car garage and pool!! Highest price per square foot received was for a brand new, Darling home. This home built in 2009 received $96.38/sq. ft. showing that despite the economy, Coles Crossing homes still command top-dollar prices when in great shape!! Of the nine homes SOLD, two were CASH transactions, six were conventional financing, and one was FHA.
