Barack Obama - Whats all the hype about? - 01/19/09 03:35 AM
I am one who is excited about what our new President Barack Obama will do for the nation when he is sworn in on Tuesday. The nation is buzzing like I have never seen before or noticed in inaugural proceedings before this.
Eavesdropping on a conversation the other night, I heard someone say "What's all the hype about?" and this went into a big discussion on what got Obama here.
Here is how the conversation started, " Barack is only here because of a number of events that took place before him, If it wasn't for George Bush getting the nation into … (3 comments)

Tunnel or Retrofit Alaskan Way Viaduct - 01/13/09 08:44 PM
The city of Seattle announced today at a joint meeting with Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire, King County Executive Ron Sims, and Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels to build a 4.2 billion dollar tunnel to replace the aging Akaskan way viaduct.

There are approximately 100,000 vehicles that pass along this cooridor everyday and the structure is at it's last leg of the aging 55 year span. The next big earthquake may tumble this double decker concrete bridge to the ground.
Opponents protest choosing such a project due to the fact of the costs involved to tax payers at a tune of 4,2 … (5 comments)

Why are we grinding away at our jobs? - 01/13/09 01:15 PM
When I got into the real estate business years ago, I thought it would be easy , just sell a home and get paid thousands of dollars and drive a Mercedes Benz. That thought quickly diminished when I got my feet wet starting at the lowest on the totem pole of agents in my office. I learned some tricks of the trade from other agents like yourself, that is one of the reasons you are here and reading my blog right?
I picked up a great book a while back when I was at Tom Ferry's coaching seminar in Newport Beach ,CA. He … (6 comments)

Why Can't Washington State get it togther? - 01/09/09 08:32 PM

The Washington State Army Corp. of Engineers control water levels on the states largest body of water, Lake Washington.  yet with annual flooding from rivers across the state, we seem to have problems with damages year after year. Am I iggorant about how this could be? or can there be things done statewide to fix this annual problem.
I can't bear to see all the lost business, homes, personal effects caused by the flooding in these areas, This in turn adversly affects real estate and the economy.

Women can accomplish this easily, Men need to read this! - 01/07/09 12:13 PM
How is our industry handling the economic downturn in the market in 2009?
What changes are we doing in our daily, weekly, monthly activites to make a shift in our business?
How will December 31, 2010 realistically look for us?
Is there a lifestyle change during these times?
This is a question I pondered one weekend that changed everything I did and will do in the future. My Mom always told me to save the money I earned for a rainy day, I really never paid much attention to her advice to me, I knew what I had for … (4 comments)

I have been hearing and watching TV the last couple of months and noticed that the hype of switching to DTV and how important it is that we all do this in one way or another got me to thinking...

Understanding your credit so that you can buy more real estate in Seattle - 01/02/09 12:38 PM
Did you know?
Many credit rating files contain inaccuracies that can affect your credit rating. With the threat of identity theft, the possibility of data sneaking in from a file of someone with a similar name to yours, and creditor reporting errors, it's a good idea to keep an eye on your credit-particularly if you are thinking of making a large purchase, such as a Seattle area home, in the coming year.
Your Credit Report
Most creditors use one of three major credit bureaus: Equifax, Trans Union, and Experian. Because creditors aren't required to report to all three agencies, the only … (1 comments)

What Is an Inspection?
A home inspection in Seattle takes place after you've made an offer on a home that the seller has accepted.
