Having written my blog ... I was able to vent and then I chose not to include the details.

Leave it so say that in today's economy we work very hard to provide services at a price efficient price and yet the customer knowing that we like others are in need of work wants to further punish us for the lack of work available by pushing for more than we quoted to do.

We need as a group to push our representatives to make better choices, so we and our children, and their children will still have this wonderful free country to enjoy.

Hope you will enjoy the 4th of July and make a commitment to get involved in at the minimum your local government.

We didn't become FREE by not being involved!

It is Sonny's desire to help and go the extra mile. Giving excellent advise about areas for services he did not provide. Sonny looked at what we wanted to achieve and helped us in every way and offered us inexpensive solutions that we did not even know to ask for. Everybody on his team were polite and courteous.

How would you like in a very few seconds to know a great deal about a prospect

without much effort?

I saw in Saturday on a used car lot, of all places. I've had sales training...but I never saw this technique.

The salesman approached a person of a different coloration and immediately says "I know you" and from there he goes into figuring out how. In a few seconds he knows the man's name, home area, and where he works. He has connected!

I am going to do that the next time I meet a woman I want to become acquainted with. "Hi, Linda"! here response "No, I'm xxx!" My response "I'm sorry I thought you were Linda whom I dated in high school, who was fabulous and I hadn't seen her in years. You look just like her!" ..... salesmanship!

Just when you think you have protected yourself from the Nigerian wealth scam...along comes one that makes one believe it is creditable!

How about getting a call from "Relay". Relay is a service to hard of hearing individuals who with a special phone have a keyboard where an operator takes the message and then calls an individual whose replies they type and communicate with the person on the other end.

I have been the "nice guy" and my business has lost some ground.

I've not gone for the close and then kept my mouth shut and put the pressure on the customer.

From now on I am going to go for the presumed close.

"Let's sign the papers now to get the process started."

We put our time and effort to do the leg work....let's not ask the potential customer to get back to us when they have ...... Selling is what we do and do it well...so let's go for the close and keep quiet. Then we work on overcoming any objections.

As a St Louis Painting Contractor, interior and exterior painting, I lost a bid on a nice house last year. The owner of the property has two other properties and they asked me to bid on one of the other two properties.

They already had the quote from the painting contractor who painted the first property and they were asking me to quote using the same painting product that the first painting contractor said they had used on the first property.

I spent 10 to 12 hours trying to find the product in the United States. The product is manufactured in Australia.

Finally, I got a reply from the Company in Australia that they had no distributor in the United States, but they could sea cargo for me. Plus there is a problem in making the color that the customer is requesting due to the product base doesn't exist to make the specific color.

It is obvious that this company has found a way to sell a good product....but no one else compete as it just isn't in this country.

Now with a letter from the Company in Australia which I have forwarded to the customer, I will wait and see what response I get from them regarding my quote for the project.

I can only think of Jim Carey in "Liar, Liar" or was the "Lawyer, Lawyer"?
