Real estate developer sentenced for fraud The Associated Press ST. LOUIS | A suburban St. Louis real estate developer has been sentenced to more than two years in prison and ordered to pay $700,000 in restitution for a fraud scheme that also included his father. The sentence for 30-year-old Brian Rickert of Creve Coeur was handed down in U.S. District Court on Monday. The U.S. Attorney's office says the scheme took place in 2006 and 2007. Authorities say Rickert and his father, Gary, fraudulently obtained financing for several high-end homes in Ladue and Town & Country that they intended to rehab. (3 comments)
