Thankful Thursdays: Oops! They did it again!

A while back, I wrote a post on how happy clients are willing to refer their friends and family.

Well, guess what?

They did it again!

And when your clients are very satisfied with the end result, they:

  • Will help you to become more successful
  • Trust you with their good friends and family
  • Were impressed with the service you provided
  • Choose to praise your successful methods to others
  • Will tout that you went above and beyond their expectations

I love my clients and put a lot of effort and energy toward helping them with the most important purchase they will be making.

And now a new client will be planning a trip to southern Utah to buy a home. Always thankful to earn the trust and respect of my clients.

I hope it happens again!

Residential Market Snapshot / Homes For Sale / Sun Crest West / Ivins, Utah 84738 / February 7, 2012

After meeting with the onsite salesperson at Sun Crest West in Ivins, Utah, I was curious to look up stats in the community. I pulled up Active Listings and found 3 resale properties for sale:

  1. $185,000 / 1,824 sq ft / built in 2008 / 3 bedroom / 2 bath / 2 car garage
  2. $264,500 / 2,586 sq ft / built in 2011 / 3 bedroom / 3 bath / 3 car garage  
  3. $264,900 / 2,137 sq ft / built in 2010 / 4 bedroom / 2.75 bath / 3 car garage
In the last 365 days February 7, 2011 - February 7, 2012, there were 5 properties that were SOLD:
  1. $187,002 / 1,210 sq ft / built in 2011 / 3 bedroom / 2 bath / 2 car garage / SOLD - $157  sq ft 
  2. $204,479 / 1,210 sq ft / built in 2011 / 3 bedroom / 2 bath / 2 car garage / SOLD - $168  sq ft 
  3. $227,559 / 2,012 sq ft / built in 2011 / 4 bedroom / 2 bath / 3 car garage / SOLD - $123  sq ft 
  4. $258,090 / 2,012 sq ft / built in 2011 / 4 bedroom / 2 bath / 3 car garage / SOLD - $128  sq ft 
  5. $273,172 / 2,586 sq ft / built in 2011 / 4 bedroom / 3 bath / 3 car garage / SOLD - $105  sq ft
Property prices in Sun Crest West varied greatly per square footage from the low $100s to the $170s in 2011. They were all new builds. He mentioned there were several lots under contract, one that was just SOLD 10 minutes before our arrival. I did not find anything in the MLS to reflect SALES for 2012, but perhaps they have not input the information yet.
 
Sun Crest West is a development of 75 lots in Ivins, Utah that sits just below the majestic Red Rock Bluffs. While most lots are built out, there are several that are under constuction at this time and should ready by the middle of February to first of March.
 
There are 11 standard floor plans that start at 1,105 square feet and go up to 2,586 square feet, wide lots offer RV parking, concrete skirting and rain gutters all around.

Good customer service plays a large part in client satisfaction and when communication shuts down it is a losing situation for all, most especially in this case, the consumer. Gail Robinson is only asking for a reasonable response and a guarantee that something is being done about her ASUS Zenbook. Please contact her ASUS, it is the least you can do.

For those of you considering buying an ASUS Zenbook, I want to share my experience to save you the pain I've been through.  I paid $1,550 for the ASUS Zenbook UX31E (their top of the line model) on 11/21/11 from New Egg.com.  On 11/28/11 I received the computer and began using it.  It worked fine for the first four weeks and then began having problems starting up.  On 1/14/12 it didn't start at all and on 1/17/12 I sent it in to be serviced as instructed by ASUS (it was now just beyond NewEgg's 30 day guarantee).  They received the computer on 1/20/12. 

I have had no phone calls or e-mails from ASUS at all.  I have to call their Customer Service hotline, which consists of people in Malaysia or some other foreign land peering at a computer screen reading back to me the exact same information I obtain from the ASUS Service website.  It is now almost two weeks and there is no indication on when my computer will be returned.  The ASUS Service site states, "Waiting [WB-1] Wait for Material/Spare Parts". 

Well, I've had it!  I'm starting a social media campaign to put pressure on ASUS to either fix my machine or send me a new one!  My client files are on that computer and it is very difficult to work without my files.  Please reblog this post and Tweet it with the hashtags #ASUS #GailRobinson.  Let's see if social media can work to get this arrogant giant's attention.

I’ve decided to take down yesterday’s post What's MINE is MINE and I WANT YOURS TOO! for the following reasons:

  • It lacked cohesiveness
  • Offered nothing of value
  • Was selfishly driven

Clients have the right to ask questions, we are here to service their needs; to help guide them to a successful transaction. Just because a request may be outside the comfort zone, it at least, deserves to be heard.

Do we have to give in to an unreasonable appeal? No. Of course the answer may heavily depend on laws, brokerage protocol and business model.

Ask away! Together we’ll find the answers.

See that tree? 

Our boys swung from its branches.

The shoreline?

Where they threw their lines in.

The trails leading to the forest?

Adventure awaited them just beyond the fringe.

The campground?

We spent many nights 'round the campfire rekindling the day, sharing fishing stories.

See that tree there? It stands as an anchor to many special moments spent and speaks of future promises. Hold tight to cherished family moments for they are fleeting and then gone.
