Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Tiger Trout Alert! - 05/30/12 05:17 AM
Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Tiger Trout Alert!

Prior to catching this beauty at Panguitch Lake, I had only seen a Tiger Trout in photos which did this exceptional species no justice. The swirling gold and brown colors, unusual pattern design and rich sheen was a mystical sight as I reeled it in. Unbelievable! It measured 19 inches; just 3 inches shy of becoming a keeper and a fine meal!
I caught a healthy 5 pound Cut Throat Trout that measured 20 inches and set it quickly back into the lake to live another day along with 4 others. My husband was … (21 comments)

Nerdin Gardens 2012: How does your garden grow?

As we prepare the soil for another growing season, we give hope to an abundance of food once again. I have been blessed with a husband who has a green thumb and has the ability to create beautiful spaces with plants, bushes and trees.

We also realize the importance of planting the seeds with care, nurturing the tender plants, weeding to create room to grow and feeding them nutrients they need to eventually put food on our table.

Our list of fruits and vegetables is long and we enjoy every … (7 comments)

How low can they go? - 05/26/12 09:34 AM
How low can they go?
Some buyers do not understand that in a brisk sales environment, low ball offers will not net them a property but will do one of three things:
Waste everyone’s time
-OR-
Create a less than desirable environment
-OR-
Worse, cause the buyer agent to apologize while submitting the offer
After speaking with another agent, we both agreed that the days of throwing ridiculously absurd offers out there have come to an end. He has received a couple of low offers on a listing and that just will not work in today’s market.
Our area is still … (11 comments)

Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Crocodile Ridge

Residents in St. George along Snow Canyon Parkway rest easy knowing a brave sentinel is diligently overseeing the area day to night to day once more. Never straying. Nor shirking its duties. Ever watchful. Needing nothing in return but purely for the honor of being the chosen one.
People who live among the red rocks here say they love the 'feel' of the area. I can see why!
Happy Wednesday to you all.

While many folks jumped into their cars and drove to Kanarraville, Utah to see the first eclipse of this sort in 18 years. We knew the view was unobstructed and just a walk outside our door.

Grandma Tobler's has amazing soup and sandwiches in town with scrumptious treats for dessert. I can personally attest that the homemade chicken salad on a croissant is one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted. Yu-um!

Don't let the sun go down without telling her you LOVE HER this Mother's Day.

BIG on economy, small on occupancy.
At my open house this weekend someone said that you can sacrifice some things in a home, like space, to take advantage of neverending, panoramic views overlooking the city. That may be true for some but does not apply to daily transportation. This little Mini-Cooper may be perfect for energy conscious drivers but would not work while showing properties to potential buyers unless we did it in shifts...drop one off to golf...then pick the other up at the spa...!
Yep, this car is Sipngas!
