This Thanksgiving Post Still Rings True 5 Years Later!
 
Sharing special occasions, surrounded by family members and friends creates lasting memories. This year we will have our youngest son, his wife and little Gbaby Ruger as guests in our home. Our oldest son will remain in Washington state while his wife is in another country serving the U.S. Navy.
 
Oh, how I'd love to have them both here and hope they will spend the day with others, forgoing it alone.

As a proud American, giving thanks to our military people is of utmost importance to me. Every 11th of November we will pay tribute to our military Veterans worldwide from all branches of military service. In my opinion, they deserve to be honored every day.

They often travel the world, putting themselves in harm's way to ensure we are safe at home, they are true heroes! Our daughter-in-law is currently thousands of miles away, serving in the U.S. Navy, making a positive difference in her life and in today's world.

A bright spot!
 
 
Standing in front of the crowded funeral home to honor my beautiful sister, the words did not come easy. Where do you start and how do you convey straight from the heart? You find a bright spot and the rest follows.
 
Theresa was someone I aspired to be and looked up to in so many ways. Through many life challenges, health issues and heartbreaks, she still maintained a sense of grace and loved with everything and all!
 
Happy Sunday, it is partly cloudy here with a few sporadic rain showers expected!
