After seeing Anna Banana's post for the extended May Contest -Before & After by Dick Greenberg, it inspired me to find a photo taken of a home that might work for the purposes of the contest.
- BEFORE -
This photo was taken across the street of a client's newly built home. Many details were lost in darkness. I cropped it, bringing it closer to the front. I rotated it, adding some light and contrast to give more detail in the features and also removed the strange shadow on the one-car garage.
After turning up the hues, it's true colors were able shine through and pop rather than remain (18 comments)
The Annual St. George Area Parade of Homes showcases 28 newly constructed homes, introducing the newest styles, extraordinary upgrades and trends. The event is February 17th - 26th, 2017. Part of the draw is also the professional staging that breathes life and warmth into large, open spaces.
Of course, furniture should be house specific, larger furniture for a larger living space...smaller for a smaller living space. Most of these homes are for sale and showing a home in it's best light can emotionally draw in a buyer, accomplishing the sales goal in a short amount of time.
From the moment, the agent and her clients crossed the threshold of the home for sale, the stench of dog urine and feces became more evident. The potential buyers turned and walked out without seeing the rest of the home.
The property has been a rental for many years with the owner in another state. A local property management company was hired to maintain the upkeep of the home as renters moved in - moved out.

People become accustomed to their surroundings, to them, it looks, feels and smells like home. Some may, however, get offended, unable to handle an agent pointing out the low-points along (52 comments)

Let it show, let it show, let it show! Agents showing financially distressed properties expect dead grass, along with the plants and bushes, the interior dirty, cobwebs everywhere and darkened rooms. Surprise them instead, with a beautiful showing! Listing agents, talk to asset managers and convince them of the financial advantage in the upkeep of an upper end home. It may cost some money up front but can be re-couped once the home sells. When it comes to the strategy after taking on a short sale or foreclosure is keeping the property looking pristine by: Turning on utilities Maintaining the yard Vacuuming carpets Sweeping the floors Dusting all woodwork Repairing (13 comments)
