Speechless Sunday (almost!): "Put your hands up!"

Nature must have a sense of humor! Never have I had the distinct pleasure to see an aloe plant bloom nor put it's arms in the air in celebration...Have you?
Fall brings about many changes in plant behavior and this is definitely an unexpected surprise! The red, orange and yellow blooms are unlike any I have seen in my days and seem to be excited about the cooler temperatures.
Another of nature's blessings as we head into a season of new beginnings / endings. Are you ready? Or not?

With more than 300 days of sunshine per year here in southern Utah, even the clouds hail salutations to that bright yellow orb! Exceptional weather year 'round allows outdoor events such as the St. George Marathon and the Huntsman World Senior Games, not to mention Ironman St. George to take place.
Living in the St. George area, reminds me of how lucky we are to live in such a place, rain -or- shine here in southern Utah!

Dandelion Duo with Persistent Parachutes is an eclectic piece of the Art Around The Corner collection strategically placed in areas of the St. George, Utah downtown area.
This particular sculpture reminds me of childhood days when we'd try our best to blow all the willowwills off the dandelions at once, so our fondest wishes would come true.

Fishing or Football? What would YOU DO?

After contemplating whether to watch the first regular season game opener...Broncos vs Steelers or go fishing, my husband and I decided to record the game and GO FISHING! This may be our last opportunity of the season to sit on the lake and catch our limit!

Ok, so we catch our limit, then do we fry, bake or smoke the trout? Decisions, decisions...to be continued. Enjoy your Sunday, we are hoping for a sunny day on Panguitch Lake!

Cloudy, stormy or smoky skies create opportunities to capture a moment for all time. And though I've heard a camera is unable to truly portray what the human eye sees, I am honestly delighted with the results of this sunset!  
How often have you seen the sun as vibrant a color when day turns to night? This is a first for me.

Speechless Sunday (almost!): And then it brightened!

After a particularly productive day, I was blessed with this remarkable sunset. The sky above a pure blue while a storm raged just below the cloud cover; wispy vapor tendrils floating downward. The Washington County Fair Parade was the highlight of the morning, then spending the day with clients to view preferred homes came next.
I was still smiling on the way home and then it brightened!

Local wildfires combined with cloudy skies create unusual shapes and scenes as the eyes travel upward. I have a natural tendency to search for objects that morph quickly and disappear ever swifter, while anticipating the next elevated atmospheric display.
The sun appears to be a winged creature swooping downward as the sky slowly gives way to night.
Enjoy this beautiful Wednesday before you...I will if you will!

Speechless Sunday (almost!): The edge of day.

Coming over the rise along Hiway 18 after my Broker Open House, the sky morphed into a multi-hued sunset that begged to be recognized. I pulled over grabbed the camera and took a photo.
This scene inspires a person to literally stop and appreciate the moment, often encouraging loss of words to describe something so alive and in the moment...perfect for a Speechless Sunday (almost!) post!
