Nearly 3 years later, Wells Fargo signs have arrived at Wachovia locations in the Charlotte NC area. 
Ok,  so they're still technically covered by temporary Wachovia labels but it's not hard to see the actual signs under the label.
I took this picture while stopped at a light this morning in Myers Park - the yellow caught my attention and sure enough the final transition to Wells Fargo has begun here in Charlotte.

The Sardis Plantation neighborhood is located in the town of Matthews NC just off Hwy 51 in Southeastern Mecklenburg County. Just a short distance from the Arboretum Shopping Center in south Charlotte and with easy access to Providence Rd, the neighborhood has a central location with plenty of amenities nearby.

There is a house that has spent more than 15 HUNDRED days on the market in Charlotte NC over the past four years or so.  And I'm sure it's not the only example.
I'm exhausted just thinking about that.  Several different local Charlotte NC real estate agents and firms (because clearly they must be the problem) later and you've spent almost all of that time on the market, never under contract, never any closer to actually selling.  Aren't you tired???

From April through June of 2011 there were 862 New listings, 468 Under Contract and 436 Sold single family listings in the South Charlotte NC region.
2011's second quarter had the highest amount of Sold listings in the past 3 years. 

Under Contract activity was down slightly (about 3%) from last year but was nearly 47% higher than in 2009.
The amount of New listings (homes being added to the market) was down slightly in 2011.

This is a light and fairly easy recipe to make with white beans, peppers, onions and I always add spinach too.  Served over brown rice it's a great meal by itself or you could add some cooked chicken, turkey or sausage if you like.

In some cases it's actually really simple to figure out the problem.  It's not lack of buyers, not the time of year, not even your pricing.
The problem?  Oh yeah, you won't allow showings yet, they're "coming soon"...along with photos apparently.

Dropped off a foyer light fixture at the ReStore in Charlotte NC recently and while there I went in to take a look around since I'd never actually been inside before.
The place is really cool and an eclectic mix of everything from furniture to glassware, light fixtures, cabinets tile flooring, and literally even kitchen sinks.  They also have rows of interior and exterior doors for sale (I have a thing for doors!).

Simple Fix for a Slow Draining Sink - 07/06/11 10:31 AM
If your kitchen or bathroom sinks ever drain slowly, try this quick and simple fix using items you probably already have around the house - white vinegar and baking soda!
Take baking soda and dump it into the drain, there's not really a precise measurement but be liberal with it!
Pour at least 1/2 or 1 cup of vinegar into the drain.
Let it sit (it'll foam and start to bubble as soon as you add the vinegar).  I've heard some people recommend covering it with a cloth while it sits but I've done this successfully without that.

Nutella Cheesecake Bars - Simply Amazing Dessert!!! - 07/05/11 04:01 PM
I don't bake much but if I do it has to be something relatively easy and really delicious.  It also has to pass the extra workout worthiness test :)
Made these Nutella cheesecake bars yesterday and they are beyond AMAZING, I'm in love!
The flavors aren't overpowering and blend together just beautifully.  It's easy to prepare and put together, either using a food processor or mixing by hand (which I did), and crushing the graham crackers in a plastic bag with a rolling pin.

There were 3 successfully closed home sales in Charlotte NC's Wessex Square neighborhood in 2010. 
That's the lowest amount of  neighborhood home sales since 2002 and half of the sales activity from a year earlier.
From 2002 through 2006 the neighborhood averaged 12 to 15 homes Sold per year.
Each of the past 3 years has been below that activity pace.

Withdrawn and expired listing activity in Wessex Square was higher than Sold activity for 2010 - and several of those unsold homes are currently on the market.
