Home construction in O'Fallon has been down significantly over the past 18 months. But in March 2010 it has taken a move upward with 19 new single-family home permits being issued by the Planning and Zoning Department. In March 2009 there was only 9 permits issued.
So far this year there from January thru March 2010 that has been 24 permits issued for new single family homes, up slightly from the 22 that were issued during that same period in 2009.

I've finally made the 50,000 point mark in Active Rain. Sad to say, but I went many many years without hardly ever logging on, and especially wilthout blogging a thing.
Well, I finally made a committment this year to at least logon everyday and look around, well I've done that, and even started writing some blogs, etc. It gets easier as you get started.

I wish we could get investors to redevelope our inner cities. I would love to see older areas in decay turn around with new development, rather than all of the urban sprawl that we keep encouraging thru TIF money, rather than encouraging older run down areas to be re-developed thru lowering the tax rates in those areas.

When a home is overpriced for the market, It will take longer to sell, and will usually sell for less money, and less of a net sale at the end, when it finally closes.
As buyers come thru the home, they are telling you the agent and the seller without ever saying a word that the home is overpriced when they walk away and don't make an offer.
