Is God Enough? - 02/28/11 07:31 PM
Psalms 55:14 What good fellowship we once enjoyed as we walked together to the house of God. I love to worship God, and there are many different ways for us to worship our loving and holy Heavenly Father. Generally speaking with go to church to worship God. There we find loving brothers and sisters in Christ who are encouraging and urging us to serve along side of each other to the glory of God. We also worship God of course with our "worship time" within our Church Fellowship, lifting our voices in song to our creator and savior Jesus Christ, in (3 comments)
Selling Your House - 02/26/11 05:07 PM
Are you thinking about selling your house? Did you notice that I said house and not your home!
House for Sale Why did I say "house" and not your "home"? It is because I feel that you need to step back as a home seller and not be personally attached to the home. Too many sellers are emotionally attached to the home and to the outcome of the sale. You need to think of your house as a marketable commodity and see your house through your buyers eyes. You want potential home buyers to see it as their potential home, (2 comments)
As I was reading my daily Proverb this morning, I read Proverbs 24:27 it reads Prepare your work outside and get things ready for yourself in the field. Afterwards, build your house. I have read that verse every month for many years on the 24th day of the month, but this morning is struck me "again" but perhaps even more that God really wants us to work and be in the field (out among the sinners, doing His work) and that will makes us strong. Have you ever seen young men working in a field picking up straw bails? Those young men really build (3 comments)
What Are You Building On? - 02/22/11 06:46 PM
1 Corinthians 3:15 (GOD’S WORD Translation) 15If his work is burned up, he will suffer the loss. However, he will be saved, though it will be like going through a fire. What do you think is the most important in your life? Is it your job? How important was the super bowl to you to watch? Is your home the most important thing in your life? Now, there’s nothing wrong with these things, but I want to ask you: What is there about your life that is going to remain when the mountains have crumbled? When the stars have fallen from their (6 comments)
A Desire for Holiness - 02/21/11 08:24 PM
1 Thessalonians 5:22-23 22 reject every kind of evil. 23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. God expects us to be holy. But when most people talk about holiness, they get a little nervous. They're interested in heaven and the hereafter but not holiness in the here and now. They're interested in health, happiness, even helpfulness, but not holiness. Can you say, "More than anything in this world, I long to be holy"? If you can't, then spend (1 comments)

David Counts the People Why was the sin of counting Israel considered such a big deal that 70,000 Israelites died? Well for one it was a sin of pride. David was tempted by Satan to count the people. Everything was going so right for David up to this point when he decided (was tempted) to start the census. David didn’t wake up one morning and impulsively decide to have a big problem. It started with a little thing, called pride and it built up from there. You see David was (1 comments)

Dollar Crisis is causing a Food Crisis - 02/18/11 10:12 PM
Quantitative Easing as Ben Bernanke has coined this term is just another tem for dabasing the dollar along with the world's reserve currency. This is causing the prices of wheat, corn and commodities to soar upward. The world's poor, and starving masses have to understand that the benefits of QE, is a way that we can weasal out of our "debt crisis", by inflating costs, having more money in curculation, and making our debt look smaller. You see we just need to educate the poor! If our government doesn't make lots of tax revenue, and make our debt look smaller, by (6 comments)
Calling for Cuts and Borrowing Billions in Illinois - 02/17/11 03:41 PM
I swear that in Illinois, we have the dumbest leadership in the country. How is it we get stuck with these idiots in office? If you look at Illinois voting patterns it is only Chicago and East St. Louis that pull in enough votes to elect these liberal minded politicians that bow down to unions. How is it you are making cuts, you have raised state income tax rates, you already know we have a DEFICIT problem and you come out with a budget that will increase the deficit by "spending more money than the state has in it's bank".
200,000 AR Points - 02/16/11 07:57 PM
Wow, I've finally made it to the 200,000 AR point category. Sometimes it has been a struggle deciding on a blog for the day, and sometimes it seems easy to come up with. I do try to blog at least once per day however, and after awhile it does get into your blood, and you know it is something that you want to do, and the day is incomplete without going to AR.

How to Have a Clean Heart - 02/14/11 11:47 AM
Proverbs 23:7-16 (New King James Version) 7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “ Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.
Cleanliness is next to..... When a teacher asked a little boy to finished this proverb the boy said "cleanliness in next to impossible" The little boy was probably probably not that far wrong! Zig Zigalr says call it "stinkin thinkin"! Before we can hope to have a life of purity, we must have a clean thought life. Human efforts are not the pathway to purity. We can look clean from the outside, but (5 comments)
Fellowship with Jesus - 02/13/11 07:14 PM
Psalm 24:4-5 (GOD’S WORD Translation) 4The one who has clean hands and a pure heart and does not long for what is false[a] or lie when he is under oath. 5This person will receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from God, his savior.
Purify me from sin with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Do you yearn to be pure before the Lord? Nothing beats living a pure life before God, and having sweet fellowhsip with Jesus, when we know our heart is clean. What Joy and Peace we know when we Trust and Obey! Are (1 comments)
A Pure Heart - 02/12/11 05:18 PM
Psalm 119:9-16 (GOD’S WORD Translation) 9How can a young person keep his life pure? He can do it by holding on to your word.10I wholeheartedly searched for you. Do not let me wander away from your commandments.11I have treasured your promise in my heart so that I may not sin against you.12Thanks be to you, O Lord. Teach me your laws.13With my lips I have repeated every regulation that comes from your mouth.14I find joy in the way shown by your written instructions more than I find joy in all kinds of riches.15I want to reflect on your guiding principles and study your ways.16Your laws make me happy.I never (1 comments)
God is the Only Answer - 02/11/11 08:38 PM
God is Our Only Answer24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:24 This world is full of problems. Egypt, the middle east, debt crisis, weak dollar, inflation, overcrowed prisons, drugs, murder, rape, poverty and the list could go on and on. The world is always looking for a solution, and may even promise changes. The media will even report how burglaries, or rapes, or muders are down from one year to the next, but then of course back up again. But they was happy to report they decrease and the increase for ratings. But why are these (5 comments)
God's Way Is Perfect - 02/10/11 06:35 PM
Psalms 18: 30-36 30God’s way is perfect! The promise of the Lord has proven to be true. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him. 31Who is God but the Lord? Who is a rock except our God?32God arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. 33He makes my feet like those of a deer and gives me sure footing on high places. 34He trains my hands for battle so that my arms can bend an archer’s bow of bronze.35You have given me the shield of your salvation.Your right hand supports me.Your gentleness makes me great.36You make a wide path for me to walk on so that my feet (6 comments)
Encouragement for Today - 02/08/11 06:58 PM
Scripture for Today!“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.” 1 Corinthians 9:24DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: Have you ever considered that the heroes of the faith are watching us from heaven! They are in the grandstand, watching us and cheering for us. We are running the race. The race of life, and the winners are those who receive Christ as Lord of their life. We each are on different paths, and we run across others who need our help, to be picked up and encouraged. We also see (5 comments)

Passing on Faith - 02/04/11 09:44 PM
Luke 18:8 - “…Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?”I believe with all my heart that the call needs to go out today more clearly than ever before for Christians to keep the faith.William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, said, “The chief danger of the 20th century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and Heaven without Hell.”We are but one generation away from paganism. If this generation doesn’t keep the faith and pass it to the next, there will be (7 comments)
Sellers Grow Impatient Waiting for Buyers I read this article online with realtor.org and I understand where it is coming from, but yet I thought this is a bit of a nutsy article, at least in my opinion. There are a couple of sellers that say that some Realtors don't call before coming to show the house. Is that true? I'm not going to say that may not happen, but I will say that should never happen. In our board it is proper to call before showing a property (you can't assume it is vacant and even if it (0 comments)
