The first one on Dec 1 was about how notaries handle privacy protection laws. Both federal law and best practices require Notary Signing Agents to protect the sensitive private information of borrowers that they handle during loan document signings.

As Beth Chapman Alabama Secretary of State put it, a Notary achieve the best practices with education. She was surprised by the enthusiasm and professionalism that notaries showed at her first Notary Public Conference.
A good information about best practices was published as a code by the National Notary Association for all Notaries and the public they serve.
This code described in “Guiding Principles” chapters summarize Do's and Dont's, ethical standards and explain different subjects from advertising, laws, interests, to certificates, seals, recording and how to manage information.

CA NSA network does not cover every county in California. There are low density population areas with no full time mobile notary signing agents since there is little loan signings.
