It’s finally here, the 2008 Taste of Glen Ellyn! The summer festival season has begun. The Taste begins Friday, May 16 at 5pm and ends on Sunday night at 7pm. Come on down to enjoy a carnival, craft fair, business expo, wonderful food and musical entertainment. And this year, Prudential Spengel Realty will have a booth at the buiness expo. We will be located at the main entrance next to Giesche Shoes and the beer tent. We will have kid’s games with prizes and an AmEx gift certificate raffle for adults. Glen Ellyn is absolutely beautiful in the winter! This picture was taken from the parking lot on Pennsylvania next to the train station. It is overlooking Main Street and the town’s main Christmas Tree.
Just down the road from this intersection is the Glen Arts Theatre. The theatre originally opened in the 1920s with 1,000 seats. In the 1980s it was divided into 4, 200 seat movie theatres.
