Philippe - A New Restaurant in West Hollywood - 8284 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046 Prominent chef Philippe Chow (of Mr. Chow fame) has opened a new restaurant on trendy Melrose Ave in the space previously occupied by Aston Kutcher's Dolce Restaurant. "The Great Greek" in Sherman Oaks (in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles) serves what is most probably the best Greek food in all of Los Angeles. The casual atmosphere is warm, friendly and inviting and the food is delicious. The Menu offers a great selection of hot or cold appetizers .... including tasty Hummus with pita bread, outstanding Spanakopita and Meditteranenan-styled eggplant stuffed with fresh tomatoes, onions, garlic, herbs and feta cheese (really good!). Murano is a beautiful restaurant situated at 9010 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, CA 90069. I say beautiful, because the room is magnificently decorated with stunning red crystal chandeliers imported from Murano, Italy. The room is sexy and stylish and creates a sophisticated atmosphere in which to enjoy their great food. My most recent meal consisted of the "Birratina Pugliese" for starters, imported Italian Burrata cheese with thinly sliced organic tomatoes, dressed with basil olive oil. Open Table is a great online site to make reservations at some of the best restaurants in most citites. The company is doing so well that it has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it is seeking an initial public offering with the intention is to be listed on NASDAQ. The Open Table restaurant reservation service is now available on the i-phone as a free application. I've found this to be an extremely useful app as it takes the hassle out of making telephone reservations. Try it out and share your comments!

Cecconi's is the newest trendy restaurant to open on Melrose Avenue & Robertson Blvd, the site of the former (and famous) Morton's Restaurant in West Hollywood. It's stylish & sophisticated while still being relaxed and inviting. The original Cecconi's opened in London in 1978 and has been a popular place for spectacular Venetian food ever since.
