Seattle Real Estate Market Overview - 01/29/10 01:18 PM
Yesterday, Dr Stan Humphries (Zillow's Chief Economist) gave a great speech to the Real Estate Roundtable of the Rainier Club in downtown Seattle. The topic was the Seattle real estate market. I've embedded the presentation here.

I was copied on this email from our head of sales today:
"Just spoke with one of Robert’s clients in Delaware who has been a showcase subscriber since last April. She called in because she wanted to be sure she had her listings featured. She’s been very happy with her ROI, with 4 deals directly attributed to her showcase subscription (1 listing and 3 buyers). She added a subscription to get her listings featured. My cousin on NPR - 01/11/10 10:50 PM
My cousin, Sam Rascoff, was on NPR this morning, talking about Al Qaida. Sam is a terrorism expert, having headed up counter-terrorism for the NYPD. He's now a professor at NYU Law School. He's a stud and a patriot, and is one of the many unsung heroes in the US intelligence community who have kept America safe since 9/11. I'm very proud to hear his expertise on NPR, and pleased that he can finally talk to me about his job now that he no longer works for the NYPD!

Once again, here are local traffic numbers for you. Overall ttraffic was a little down in December to 7.4 million unique users, but that seasonal dip is normal for us.

It was another record breaking year for us at Zillow and it is our hope that the increased traffic and enhanced functionality translated into more business for you as well.
Overall, usage of the site grew 57% year-over-year, with an average of 8.2 million unique users a month.
Other milestones include:
37% year-over-year growth in page views in 2009. 3.9 million for-sale, rental and Make Me Move listings are posted on Zillow today, up 43% year-over-year, as the result of more listings feed partnerships with brokerages and Multiple Listings Services. In December 2009 Zillow … (0 comments)
