wall street: Monthly Survey of Real Estate Agents (from Credit Suisse) - 03/04/09 11:54 AM
I love this monthly report from Credit Suisse. It's the most in-depth monthly survey of Real Estate agents (are you listening NAR?!).
The fact that it's locally focused makes it even more useful. Enjoy.

"We believe that economics has been trapped in a sub-optimal equilibrium in which much of its research efforts are not directed towards the most prevalent needs of society. Paradoxically self-reinforcing feedback effects within the profession may have led to the (2 comments)
wall street: Some resources to explain the current financial & housing crises - 09/25/08 06:17 PM
Like much of the country, I've been consumed and fascinated by the financial bailout discussions over the last few weeks. It's pretty amazing how all roads are leading back to housing prices, something that I spend a lot of thinking about at Zillow.
Here are some good, academic resources in case (2 comments)
wall street: Charlie Rose interview of Jamie Dimon - 07/11/08 06:01 PM
Fascinating interview by Charlie Rose with Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan. Hard to watch the interview without thinking to yourself: Jamie Dimon is a stud.
H/t to Paul Kedrosky.

wall street: Shakespere comes to Wall Street - 03/17/08 09:08 AM
Last week, we saw two catastrophic train wrecks of Shakespearean proportions play out in New York. I’ll say less about the Eliot Spitzer saga because it’s more cut and dry. I used to work on Wall Street as an investment banker. I enjoyed it very much, and it was a great way to start my business career. Most of my friends still work in finance (as investment bankers, equity research analysts, hedge fund investors or private equity investors). Overall, I have (2 comments)
wall street: Give Realtors a break! - 02/27/08 09:17 PM
I'm in NY today, speaking at the Jeffries Internet Conference. Another Wall Street conference means another opportunity for me to tell the Zillow story to The Street. I also got to watch several other real estate companies present, including Bankrate and Internet Brands (realestateabc.com). These conferences are usually in either NY (5 comments)
wall street: Speech @ Thomas Weisel Partners Internet Conference in SF - 02/07/08 08:50 AM
I was in San Francisco yesterday, capping my awful travel week. I was on planes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Yuck. I gave a speech about Zillow to the Thomas Weisel Partners Internet Conference. As usual when I give a presentation to Wall Street types, there was the usual (0 comments)
wall street: Various views on ebay - 01/25/08 03:54 PM
I don’t own any shares of ebay, but I casually follow the stock out of interest. After all, it’s an internet bellwether, so it indirectly affects my company Zillow. As has been widely covered, ebay reported mixed earnings yesterday. They are shifting their marketing focus from auctions to fixed price (2 comments)
