Fishers, Indianais located  20 miles Northeast of Indianapolis in Hamilton County, about a 30 minute commute to downtown & was recently named one of thesafest places in the USA to live as well as one the best small cities in the U.S.!  

Fishers, Indiana was originally named Fishers Switch and then Fishers Station due to its location along the railroad and The Train Station is still a very popular destination.  A couple  of the most popular events of the year are taking the train down to the Indiana State Fair in August or doing the "Polar Express" at Christmas.

Fishers hosts three annual  events : the Fishers Freedom Festival, the Flavor of Fishers, and the Fishers Renaissance Faire;

The Fishers Freedom Festivaloccurs in June, just prior to the 4th of July. The Fishers Freedom Festival features a parade, 5K walk/run called the Freedom Run, lot’s of food and vendor booths and fireworks..

The Flavor of Fishers event is sponsored by the Fishers Chamber of Commerce and features over 30 area restaurants, a Family Fun Zone , vendor booths and lot’s of live music .

The Fishers Renaissance Faireis perhaps the best known and attended of these three festivals; it takes place every year at Conner Prairie. People dress in period costumes, & there is jousting, mock combat food, live music, and lots  of vendors.

The Fishers Parks and Recreation Department  consists of Fishers’ twelve parks. There are walking & bicycling trails, picnic areas, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, playgrounds and more. The summer months see free concerts at many of the parks as well as festivals, craft shows & classic car shows.

If you love to golf, Ironwood & Grey Eagle are two of the 20 courses located in Hamilton County.
