charitable donations: Jump Rope for Heart - 2011 - 05/04/11 08:27 PM
My children are participating in Jump Rope for Heart at their elementary school in Bowie.  Jump Rope for Heart is a great program that allows children to raise money for the American Heart Association.
I am very proud that both my children value charity and want to be involved in their community.  Of course, since there are 2 of them participating this year that means double the fund raising efforts.
I hope that you will consider making a small donation to either one or both of my children.  Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
Donate to my 8 year old daughter

charitable donations: Schedule a Donation Pick-up at Your Convenience - 08/23/10 06:31 PM
If you are like me you have things that you are no longer using that someone else could benefit from.  Usually, I pile them up in the garage until a charity calls and then I happily leave them outside my home for pick-up.  I've had several things for months now and no one has called (of course, i'm too lazy to take them myself).

Today I stumbled on a service called Good Donor which allows you to schedule a pick-up online at your convenience.  You can either schedule a pick-up by date or by charity.

I have scheudled a pick-up … (4 comments)
