Prince George's County has several new home communities throughout the county. These include fromcondo communities to luxury single family homes. One of the down sides of new construction is the wait time between falling in love with the home and getting the chance to move in. Many buyers don't want to wait the 4-6 months that might be necessary. Quick delivery homes are good options. Buyers get the chance to own brand new construction without the wait. Quick delivery homes also offer great incentive packages and builders are willing to negotiate to reduce their inventory. Prince George's County has several quick

new construction: Mail update
- 08/04/08 05:21 AM
This is just a quick update for those who have been following my crazy move and subsequent issues over the past few weeks. We officially began to get mail delivery this month. I no longer have to drive to the post office to get the mail. Of course, no one told me this until after I drove to the post-office this morning. Anyway, they started delivery when we were on vacation. So it took 1 month from the time we moved in for them to start delivery to our address. I guess it could have been worse.

new construction: NV Homes delivers a good product.
- 07/11/08 10:35 AM
We recently purchased a new home from NV Homes in Maryland. I have been very impressed with the quality of the product that was delivered. The home includes many features that contribute to a luxurious feel including crown moulding & chair railing, granite counters, hardwood floors & ceramic tiles, stainless steel appliances, and open floor plans. A major contributor to our positive experience with NV was our sales rep, Marcus Brown. Whenever a problem arose Marcus was always available to answer any questions and to help guide us through the process. He always made us feel that our concerns were legitimate

new construction: Painter needed in PG County.
- 07/02/08 11:04 AM
So we have finally begun the process of officially moving. We closed on our new home this past Monday and we will be moving in the next 2 weeks (time to really start packing). It's new construction so everything is really white. I would love to paint before we move our junk in. Does anyone know good painters (who are fast and reasonably priced) who work in the PG County area of Maryland? Thanks for your help.

new construction: Why you should use a real estate agent when purchasing a new home.
- 06/09/08 01:44 PM
The question is, Do you really need a real estate agent when you're buying a new home? The answer, an emphatic yes!!!! Last year my husband and I decided we wanted to purchase a new home. I knew it would be an easy task. I would just drive into that community I pass all the time, pick out what I want and they would start building. Of course, life is not that simple. Turns out I didn't like any of the available floor plans in my price range. I was left trying to figure out where to go next. A little research

new construction: New Construction & Home Inspection
- 05/30/08 01:23 AM
My husband and I are purchasing a new home that should be ready at the end of June. I have heard mixed comments about the necessity of a home inspection when working with new construction. My gut feeling is that it can't hurt because there could be shoddy construction practices taking place. However, I have heard people say that it is a waste of money. I was curious what your opinions were about this. Also, would you do it pre-settlement or would you do it sometime in the first year before the warranties expire?
