Question:  We want to move quickly.  Won't buying new construction take too long?
Answer:  If you build a home from the ground up it could take 4-6 months to move-in.  However, many new home builders have homes available where the construction has already begun.  These homes are known as quick delivery, immediate delivery, inventory, or spec homes.  In many cases, there is still some opportunity for you - the buyer to customize the features of the home (carpet, fixtures, etc).
New home builders are often willing to negotiate and offer greater incentives for these inventory homes.

Today was one of those glorious days in the Winter that encourages everyone to get outdoors.  60 degrees in February is heaven.  My husband, an avid golfer, decided that he wanted to get out and play today.  We live on Oak Creek golf course and I have never seen the entire course.

These are good times in general to buy a home.  The interest rates are pretty low and homes prices have moderated significantly.
This is an especially good time to look into the brand new home that you have always wanted.
Builders are offering great incentives to buy.  These can include free or discount options, closing cost help, or other incentives.  I've seen free media rooms, flat screen tvs, finished basement.  You name it, you can discuss it.

The excitement of buying a new home is wearing off and the reality of what lies ahead is beginning to set in.  I actually have to pack up and move.  Somehow, our entire life has to fit into one of these nice labelled boxes.

So we have finally begun the process of officially moving.  We closed on our new home this past Monday and we will be moving in the next 2 weeks (time to really start packing).  It's new construction so everything is really white.  I would love to paint before we move our junk in.  Does anyone know good painters (who are fast and reasonably priced) who work in the PG County area of Maryland?

The question is, Do you really need a real estate agent when you're buying a new home?  The answer, an emphatic yes!!!!
Last year my husband and I decided we wanted to purchase a new home.  I knew it would be an easy task.  I would just drive into that community I pass all the time, pick out what I want and they would start building.

Oakcreek Club, Prince George's County new luxury home development has made significant strides this year.  When I first visited Oakcreek Club last May I was immediately impressed by the planned amenities.  However, they were little more than plans and promises at that point.  Currently, the championship golf course is completed and open to members and the community's gates and welcoming fountain are fully operational.  There are additional planned amenities including a club house, swim and tennis facilities, park areas, and a shuttle to the Metro.
