photography: Wordless Wednesday,... Half the week feels like a full week. Time to chill! - 12/21/11 11:29 PM

Wordless Wednesday,...
Half the week feels like a full week.  Time to chill!

I know it's only Wednesday, but I feel like I've worked a full week!
One office, two office, three offices, four,...

meetings, and minutes,
holiday parties and open house planning,
business plans and conference plans,
market reports and reporting my activities,
buyers, sellers and so much more!

But right now it is time to relax, to rejuivinate, to chill!  And this is just the perfect photo to do that by!

And the Snow Arrives in South Central WI,....
Sights, Seasons and Scenery from South Central WI.

Saturday morning,... I woke to the silent serenity of a snow covered world.  Like many things in life, I didn't know it was coming.  It covered the ground like a fresh clean sheet.  The sun came up and radiated it's magic creating a sparkling world of white.  And while the cold is never my favorite part of winter, the snow adds a magical element to every holiday season.

Sights, Seasons and Scenery from South Central Wisconsin.
Who could ask for more?

There are times that I complain about the rain, the cold, the gloom but without those days would I really appreciate the magnificant days?  The beauty of each new season that is bestowed upon me?  That is afterall why I still live in South Central WI.  The amazing change of seasons!

We are blessed to have a very long majestic Autumn with blaze of color.

The most crisp tranquil white of Winters, with it's feeling like a magical snowglobe at times.

A Fresh New Day, A Fresh New Month, A Fresh New Attitude.

Each and every day we are given a chance to face the world with a new attitude.  Take a moment this morning to breath, cleanse, and renew yours.  Positive attitudes push one forward.  Negative attitudes hold you to the past.  What successes with you achieve today, this month, this lifetime?  Happy 1st day of November!  Make it a great one.  I know I will!

You Teach Me, Thank you my Active Rain Family!

When you wake in the morning you have no way of knowing who or how someone may touch your day.  Today was no exception.  I began my day as usual having coffee and playing in the rain from 4:30 - 5:30 in the morning.  I was profoundly touched by several blog posts.  Some of which I couldn't even comment on as I felt my words, so inadequate, would just take away from the photo or … (103 comments)

Sights, Seasons and Scenery
from South Central Wisconsin.

A couple of weeks ago I spent the entire day leaning how to use my camera in a whole new setting.  I traveled to The Horicon Marsh and played outside right after a rain.  It was a bit challenging as the sun would pop in and out causing me to change settings frequently.  I also was out in the open and into the wooded area a bit, again causing me to change settings frequently.  Hope you enjoy another little peak at the Sights, Seasons and Scenery from South Central … (22 comments)

Sometimes my brain is so busy and overstimulated I just cannot say or hear another thing.  This is where my brain is this morning.  It's done, shut down and exhausted!  I'll have to let my photo of a Milk Weed plant setting it's seeds free, do the expressing for me.

photography: Sometimes it's not what's going on all around you, but rather what is all around you. - 09/22/11 11:17 PM

Sometimes it's not what's going on all around you,
but rather what is all around you.

A drizzley morning, I was running past some Coral Bells.
Something made me stop and take a closer look.  I am so glad I did!   Several cars beeped and slowed down.  Some pulled over asking; "Are you okay?"  I guess trying to get up and personal with these little coral bells, must have made me look hunched over and ill from the road.  Guess I wasn't the only one they slowed down that day!  Ahhh!  There are treasures all around … (32 comments)

Schrooms Anyone?
I Have Never Seen Anything Like These Before!

I walk almost daily for my health.  And it never fails that on my daily walk I see something interesting.  Something I have never seen before.

It might be the beauty in the flow of a tree trunk.  The way it reaches up to heaven, yet is anchored solidly in the earth.  It may be a squirrel that drops nuts on my head as I walk under it's home.  It could be a crack in the sidewalk that looks just like a little … (29 comments)

photography: ActiveRainPhotoBloggerContest, Windows To The Soul,... - 05/15/11 08:55 AM
ActiveRainPhotoBloggerContest, Windows to the soul,... The saying is, The eyes are the windows to the soul.
I have to ask then just what is a photograph?
In some cultures photo's are thought to steal the soul.
So again, I have to ask, then just what is a photograph?

Is a photograph a minor glimpse of our soul, our lives, our stories, our feelings?  Can a simple photograph tell a story?  Of course it can.  "A picture is  worth 1000 words".  Can a photograph preserve, document and share history?  Absolutely.  There is no better form of … (33 comments)

A Mother's Day Gift From My Garden to You!

Finally, spring has sprung and we have been blessed with a warm sunny Mother's day!

My garden is full of color.

There is every shade of yellow and orange in my daffodils,.... tulips in orange, burgundy, cream, and pinks.

Grape hyacinths and soon the smell of lilacs will explode.

I love the flowers in my gardens (well, actually I simply love flowers).

photography: R Rated Photos - 01/22/11 07:45 AM
Seriously, Zinger is the master fisherwoman!  She knows how to draw you in, keep you reading and get you thinking.  This blog is by far NO EXCEPTION!  But that is not why I re-blogged it.  I reblogged it because she makes a very good point from a perspective I never thought of, but should have.  As a stager I take a lot of photos of the interior of sellers homes, but I have permission to do so.  As a buyer I always thought that might be a good idea as well.  Now, I choose not to, but read this post and all … (0 comments)
