During times when the market appears slow, builders like Bob Perritt said the only thing that keeps R.J. The demolition of 35,000 square feet of the Shoreway Shopping Center to make way for a green space and, ultimately, efficient buildings powered by renewable sources.
"We're tearing down a public nuisance," Mayor Piskura (Sheffield Lake) said of the south end of Shoreway's strip. "This has been a long battle. Today is the payoff."
The city bought the shopping center, built in 1958, last year and quickly garnered a five-year lease with Apple's Grocery Store as a replacement store for Giant Eagle, which closed and left residents upset with the lack of a grocery store.

For years you have heard of type A and type B personalities. Being a clinical psychologist by practice I have had my share of grading professionals on which of the two they were let (alone what ever the else complexes their lives).  But in the Real Estate business getting a type A person can be if anything "a race"  I have had cases where I have had to switch over to voice mail screening when I saw that caller ID number or started my progressive muscle relaxation prior to pushing that green answer button.  You know you have a Type A buyer when:

If you have been waiting the word is out the new YMCA is finally under construction.  It has been a long time since the area surrounding Avon, Avon Lake and Sheffield Lake had a Y.  Our last one in Avon Lake closed some 10 years ago and this has been sorely missed.

    With the increasing number of people in need of emergency services the Avon lake City Council has allowed Community Resource Services to use it’s donations for food, household gas and utilities to people in need in Avon Lake. The most recent article printed by the Avon Lake Press indicated that the City of Avon Lake has also donated $6000 to the cause. The money was pulled from the pool that is used for city celebrations and the sort in this case part of the 4th of July fireworks money was used.
