My mortage broker at Howard Hanna Mortgage reported these numbers to me this morning.
30 yr. Conv. 4.875%
15 yr  Conv. 4.250%
30 yr. FHA   4.750%
Conv. 5/1 ARM 3.25%
 
So how long will these numbers last? I can't say. But the inventory of great homes are there now.  And home prices right now are at incrediable lows Time to get off that fence and shop for your home.

I am on day 3 of what looks to be a flu. My one 9 year old twin son had it over the weekend and i had to run him to ER thinking he just needed a strep test at the time. Get him there and beforer you know it he is being IVed fluids and motrin and some new type of flu medication.  I figured not me I will keep this house germ free for the next week.  Wrong I had his symptoms 3 hours latter, crap.

Avon Lake's big CYO Basketball Tournament is just around the corner! - 02/10/11 09:22 AM
The Bob Roesky -- St. Joseph CYO Basketball Tournament is just around the corner this weekend.  Read The Avon Lake Patch article for more information. The event will take place at the Avon Lake high school and is hosted every year by St Joseph’s School.  
The event is so big in the area with some 25 or more schools participating, that they have to use both the main and auxiliary gym.The event takes place  Feb. 12 and13, Feb. 18, 19, 20 and Feb 26 and 27.

Avon Ohio Market Report for February 2011 - 02/10/11 08:16 AM
In reviewing the market report for Avon Ohio this past month of January. It has been apparent that the market has stabilized in the area.  Though there has been a decrease in homes sold there has been a decrease in inventory and there is another 18 homes in the area in pending status (indicating some sold signs are out there, getting people thinking).

Increase sales over last quarter and increase over this time last year (by a giant 42%) is a strong indication that the market is better in our area.

Are things perking up or is it just me? - 02/03/11 11:42 PM
I am watching the sales stats in my area and I am thinking, "Are things picking up or is it me looking at the numbers wrong"?  I was pushing up stats for surrounding Avon Lake areas. And I am seeing similar patterns to what I reported last week in Avon Lake 20-38 % increases over last month. Now we are not at last years pace but at this momentum I could see us catching and passing that in 3-4 months.  What are other people seeing their areas? Just curious.

Here in the Cleveland area we have been with hit hard with ice rain for the last 12 hours.  Here is some advice for walking out there tomorrow:
Ø Bend slightly and walk flat-footed  with your center of gravity directly over the feet as much as possible.
Extend your arms out to your sides to maintain balance.
ØKeep your hands out of your pockets. Hands in your pockets while walking decreases your center of gravity and balance. You can help break your fall with your hands free if you do start to slip.
