selling a home in avon lake and northeast ohio: Selling my home: Should I move my packed boxes from the basement?
- 03/04/13 11:18 AM
And the answer is YES. Though you may have packed the items in closed boxes and isolated the location in the basement. The presentation of the boxes takes away from seeing the basement from it's space and potential. Be it a finished basement or an unfinished space, leaving boxes just create an eye sore and will make your basement look smaller than it is.
People are not seeing the space for what it could be for them but rather what are your hobbies, keep sake's... perhaps your unusual habits and quirks... Yikes. Then there is the potential (6 comments)
selling a home in avon lake and northeast ohio: Housing Market is making that turn can you feel it?
- 09/08/12 02:09 PM
If you're waiting for home prices to go up, then you're missing signs the troubled housing market has finally turned around. FORTUNE – Over the past few months, many economists have concluded that that the U.S. housing market has reached a turning point and is healing. This may sound hard to believe, since home prices have continued their downward trend. In 2011, prices fell by 4% following nearly a 30% decline since the property bubble paeked in June 2006. They ended the year at a 10-year low. Indeed, prices aren't likely going to rise for a while. But this might not necessarily (6 comments)

selling a home in avon lake and northeast ohio: Garage Storage will help sell that home too!
- 05/19/11 01:43 PM
Car garages no longer are only used to park your car in! They have become the multi-purpose room that families use for a myriad of reasons! People have turned them into a living room, a gym, even a children’s playroom. How you use your garage is up to you but remember if you are planning to place your home on the market soon that garage appearance can be a reflection of how you take care of your home in general. No matter what the family uses the garage for, proper garage storage is essential in keeping the area tidy and clutter (3 comments)

Ohio fishing offers some of the best fishing to be had with a diverse range in the area. Small-mouth Bass, Walleye, Crappie, Panfish and Stripers are all plentiful while trout is harder to find. Reservoirs, large lakes, streams and ponds all offer sport fishing for keen anglers. Great Ohio fishing can be found at Buckeye Lake in the central region and provides 3,600 acres of prime fishing water and 32 miles of shoreline about 120 miles south of Cleveland and Cincinnati. selling a home in avon lake and northeast ohio: Preparing that Avon Lake / North east Ohio Home for Sale: Do it right!
- 11/24/09 01:49 AM
In preparing your home for sale the first comment I want to say is do not plan on major renovations. Yes, I may be the first realtor to tell you this, but unless you have ceilings and walls falling, door hanging off the hinges, you don't need to call a professional to give you a new kitchen or bath. If you are planning to stay there for the next 7 + years OK, but otherwise hold off.. Just some simple upgrades and meeting current trends will make all the difference in preparing the home for sale. Let's dress that home up (0 comments)
selling a home in avon lake and northeast ohio: Avon Lake Homes: Plasma VS LCD Which is better for that home theater?
- 12/25/08 04:01 PM
As I shop for the home theater I am faced with the dilemma of best TV to choose. Here is the news on plasma verse LCD. In general, plasma TVs have deeper, richer blacks and better contrast ratio. Because plasma screens are highly reflective glass, plasmas perform best in rooms with some degree of light control, which certainly doesn't describe the showroom floor you're likely to be trying to evaluate them in. This set of strengths (and weaknesses) is why plasmas are a better choice for those whose viewing priorities are watching movies in a darkened room. On the other hand, (0 comments)
Tips for Staging the Living Room Arrange the room in a conversational way, if it's not arranged like that already. A living room design and layout should be conducive to group conversation and family interaction. Experiment with different arrangements until you get it right. Let the living room breathe. If it's hard to walk through because of furniture size and/or arrangement, remove some items and place them in storage. Purge the living room of family photos and other items that say "you don't live here" to potential buyers. Design and stage the living room so that other people can see (0 comments)
I have been seeing some growth in the real estate market in Northeast Ohio but I find there are things that sellers still need to be careful with and one is choosing an efficient title company. Mind you I have not found a title company that did a bad job. But I have to tell you everyone is unique in there operations and what they have to offer in customer service. Realtors make connections with a number of title agencies many times not under their control because of the buyer's choice. But as a result of this you learn which companies have (0 comments)
