Honey, It's the Army. They want to talk to you. - 04/12/08 09:16 PM
I'd been married for about a year when I got the call.  My husband handed me the phone, and said the Army wanted to talk to me.  I took the phone and started a conversation that changed the way I thought about my future.

"I see that you have a B.A. in Mathematics," said the recruiter.  "If you enlist, you'll be an officer.  It's a good career path, and we'll help pay for more education, if that's something you're interested in."

When I hung up the phone, I had a lot to think about.  I was ready for a … (9 comments)

USDA Loans - 100% Financing in the Triangle Area - It's Not Just for Farms - 04/09/08 05:28 AM
I hadn't heard of this loan program before a great local lender pointed it out...

Surprisingly, most of the Triangle area DOES qualify, as long as you're not in the Cities of Cary, Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill - the population there is too large, and this program was created to help potential homeowners in rural areas.  But … (5 comments)
