Raleigh Scores Top Place in Survey "American City with Best Quality of Life" Raleigh hit the top of the score chart again in a new survey by Portfolio.com. Sixty-seven metropolitan areas were ranked.
Factors included:
- cost of living
- housing
- educational systems
- traffic
Demographers created the analysis. Raleigh pushed to the top because of several important factors:
- Only major market expanding and growing at a rapid pace
- Well educated workforce
- Large supply of high-level jobs
