STEILACOOM HISTORICAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Established in 1855, Steilacoom Historical School District No. 1 is the oldest organized school district in Pierce County. The District serves the communities of Steilacoom, DuPont, Anderson Island, McNeil Island, plus portions of Lakewood and unincorporated Pierce County.
The district is known for its striking views of Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. Its location also provides proximity to outdoor recreation and cultural activities found in Tacoma, Seattle and Olympia.

The North Thurston Public School District in Lacey, Washington serves members of the community.  Many of these are service members serving at Joint Base Lewis McChord.  The school district (http://www.nthurston.k12.wa.us/site/default.aspx?PageID=1)  began in 1953 and now is the largest district in the county, North Thurston Public Schools educates nearly 13,700 students each year, with 13 elementary schools, 4 middle schools (including a performing arts magnet school), 3 comprehensive high schools and one high school of choice.

University Place School District – University Place, WA
Since its inception in 1894, in fact, the University Place School District's history has been one of timely choices, wise leadership, and thoughtful planning.  Recently it has been building toward the future again, with the gleaming new University Place Primary School opening its doors to students and staff for the very first time on September 2, 2008.  While just down the road, the new Curtis Junior High School welcomed its first students September 1, 2009.
University Place is educating its 5600 students in 4 Primary, 2 Intermediate, 1 Junior and 1 Senior High schools.

The Bethel School District is a dynamic district that covers over 215 square miles in southeast Pierce County.  Currently, Bethel is the 13th largest district in the state with an estimated enrollment of nearly 18,000 students.
