Overlooking downtown Steamboat Springs and the Yampa River in the summer. Steamboat Springs was recently included in a New York Times article, "52 Places To Go in 2015".   Our small Colorado mountain town is listed as #19 actually. Further validation for our community that we have something really special going on here.
It's not just our world-class Steamboat Ski Resort or our naturally therapeutic hot springs. It's not just the endless miles of mountain bike, skating and running trails and boundless utdoor recreation. Free Monthly Film Series Featuring Ski Town USA The Tread of Pioneers Museum in Steamboat Springs, CO is hosing its first Winter Film Series which will highlight the mountain town's snow-loving roots. Donated vintage films, promotional videos and home movie footage will be showcased over the next few months via free showings at the Chief Theater downtown. Every third Tuesday from October through March at 6 p.m. a different film will be shown, so if you are in town, check it out.

One of Steamboat Springs best deals in town is a ski pass at Howelsen Hill. It's a small area but if you're just looking to take a few runs during a work break, or after work,  head to Howelsen Hill in Downtown Steamboat Springs.

Who knew that the lack of powder days in Steamboat Springs last winter would spoil the best fireworks show in Colorado on the 4th of July. Well, that might be the case.
